what was the last movie you watched?

The critics ripped "2", but I love the first film. I'll probably go see it - film critics seldom agree with the general public's taste in "quality films."

Two I caught up with recently and really liked were "The Good Shepherd" with Matt Damon and Angelina (very dark) and "Ghost Rider" - loved it.

I never pay attention to what the critics have to say because usually when they like a movie, I hate it. And when they say they don't like a movie, I usually like it.

Just watched Fist of the White Lotus and Five Deadly Venoms back-to-back. And I'm currently in the process of seriously expanding my kung-fu flick collection.

Next up is Return of the Master Killer.

I finally saw "A Mighty Heart". Angelina Jolie was unbelievable. I will never forget the grief scene when she finds out her husband has been killed. That performance should be mandatory for anyone aspiring to be an actor. Very few people who enter acting can manage to elicit the emotions Ms. Jolie was able to evoke. Truly stunning, regardless of the rest of the film...

"Five Deadly Venoms" is a Hong Kong film industry classic - Shaw Bros. Studios, I believe. I was destroyed when Toad got punctured in that Iron Maiden device. ;)

I saw it tonight. I didn't think it was as good as the first, but in the same vein.

OK, a couple questions:

1.
How the heck did the Native Americans dewater all that underground space to construct the city of gold?

2.
Where was the water going? They were below lake level the whole time.

Sorry, it's the engineer in me. I can't help but wonder which brilliant writer comes up with some of this stuff....

Firstly, you sat through the whole movie and those were your only two questions? I had at least 15 "Now wait just a darn minute, how in the heck..." moments within the first twenty minutes of the film.

Secondly, magic. It's always magic.

No, not my only questions. Like you, I was doing that often. But I try to ignore most of it. As I deal with soils and foundations at work, these are the kinds of things that just can't be overlooked. ;)

juno.... cult classic!
I think my wife is dragging me to this on Friday night with a friend of hers. Can't wait. Whoopee.

I mean, it looks like any other chick flick based on the website (haven't seen the trialer). Is there really anything special/different to it????

Clerks 2. This movie is ****ing hilarious... And, if I do say so myself, no movie has ever been made less watchable by the presence of Rosario Dawson.

We saw Atonement tonight. Actually a pretty good movie. It jumps around to the point that it becomes distracting at times, especially early in the movie, but other than that very well done.
