Since I announced my impending grandmotherhood in here a while ago, I haven't come back to post that it isn't going to happen, at least not yet. It was so early its hard to tell if she wasn't ever pregnant or conceived, but lost it. Disappointing for all of us. :(

Sorry to hear it, k.

My wife and I are building a house and I have been taking shots from the neighbor's window with a camera on a time-lapse basis.

I strung some of the shots together - with a few other related photos in the beginning and end (with our son in a couple :D ) - and made this:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4324399734433243583

Unfortunately, Google video changes the resolution and my nice clean 720x480 resolution photos in the original video are now pretty pixellated.

I am trying to find a way to post the entire ±145 MB file somewhere for download, but this might have to do for the immediate future. The reduced file size, while ugly, will also help those like VF21 without broadband to be able to watch. ;)

That was fun to watch, Warhawk! :D And your son is so cute. :) There's something special about watching a new home go up. That will be nice to have as a keepsake.

And thank you, nice people. :)

That was fun to watch, Hawkie. BTW - I figured if I called Brick...Brickie, then you would have to suffer through Hawkie. :p

Thanks for the consideration, Warhawk!!!

I think you had a great idea in taking those pics... And I loved the amazing sunset you caught, too.

Thanks for sharing! I love it!

You mean the Maui one? I forgot I put that on there. Not much to it, unfortunately.

I had purchased the camera for the time-lapse photos (for the house) before we went to Maui and wanted to just try out the time-lapse feature to see how it would work. It worked just fine, but I'm not sure why I posted the video to begin with.....

Might have been testing out google video as well, I just can't remember.

David Goyer will direct Magneto, the X-Men spinoff movie that will center on the villain played by Ian McKellen, for 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios, Variety reported.

Magneto is the second X-Men spinoff to go into production; the first was Wolverine, based on a script by David Benioff, which will star Hugh Jackman as the steel-clawed mutant.

AND:

Spotnitz: X-Files 2 In Works

Former The X-Files executive producer Frank Spotnitz confirmed on his official blog that a second movie is in the works. "It's true," Spotnitz wrote on April 17.

"Several people have e-mailed to ask about reports that the second X-Files feature is finally in the works," Spotnitz wrote. "A script is indeed in development, but I'm afraid that's all I can say. Thanks for your good wishes and support all these years."

Spotnitz, a longtime X-Files producer and writer, also came up with the story for the first X-Files movie in 1998 with series creator Chris Carter.

In recent weeks, former star David Duchovny has said the second film is moving forward and that an announcement may come soon. His co-star, Gillian Anderson, has expressed interest in returning to her role as FBI agent Dana Scully, alongside Duchovny's Fox Mulder.

Cool - hope these are better than Elektra....

Oh, great news! We sold our house! Not nearly for what it was worth a year ago, and for less than we really wanted, but it sold, and in today's environment that is a good thing. :D Now we can devote all our energies to getting the one under construction finished.
