I'm confused...You complain about Mo's rebounding, then wish for the player who's probably gonna average a team high in rebounds next season to get traded?
...But yeah, Petrie isnt exactly wowing us this offseason. The last big move he made was Peja for Artest...And he didnt even want to make that trade, the Maloofs forced him to...So is Petrie trying to get fired or something?

I have no use for soft bigs. And accordingly I have no use for Mo Taylor.
That said...people might be underestimating him a bit. He IS soft. Oh man is he soft. But he at least used to be a talented scorer (needs to find his game soon though or he's out of the league) who once scored 17+ pts in a season. And he's only 29, meaning his decline might be more attached to people tirign of his one-dimensional act (except us -- we dig one-dimensional
) than necessarily a steep decline.

Now of course the fact that I am comparing him to a skinny soft SF says miles about Mo and what he brings to the table, 6'9" 256lb body or not. But still, if we had picked up Tim Thomas, people would probably feel pretty good about it no?
Think the larger issues are that a) he is soft; b) we are already overstocked with tweener softies thx; c) has often had an attitude; and d) he is SOFT. There is some offensive talent there though, or was. But what the heck do we do with it?

We just keep up picking up the same player, over and over again. Which might indicate that the real issue may be that there is somebody else who is soft: the GM.

Guys...i have to agree with VF21 when she says that she can see Petrie making a run at KG (by the trade deadline this year). Our roster is essential the BEST fit for Minny, KG and the team KG goes to.

That makes the Taylor signing even MORE prudent as it adds EXPERIENCED frontcourt depth to our roster and that deal would allow us to maybe pick-up a player like Justin Williams mid-way through the season with the additional roster spots being added after the deal.

That really doesn't buy you KG.
But things along the lines of Brad/Bibby + enders for their bad contracts might.
Or just as likely a Brad/SAR or Brad/Kenny or Bibby/Sar or somesuch combo with enders and picks thrown in. Probably one of our kids too.
In any case -- sure, I somewhat agree. We have a depth of mediocrity, which should we suddenly and unexpectedly find ourselves with a KG/Artest kickass pairing could be sufficient to fill in around the edges. If Bibby were swapped, Salmons might be a better fit as a roleplayer starting alongside Artest/KG than a backup behind Bibby. Should SAR, Brad, Kenny or all of the above get moved in such a megadeal, a Mo Taylor would be a good enough fill in for a backup behind KG for a year. Should we need to burn one of the kids to land him, there's more where that came from. So yeah, we remain one of the teams out there that could pay for KG and still have enough left to think about a serious run with what's left filling in around the All-Defense forward pairing. But we're not alone in that aspect, and just as likely we are piling up said mediocrities in light of failing to land an impact guy. And heck, we were actually in BETTER position to do that while the Bonzi chip was still in play. Not saying it cannot happen. Not saying I don't hope it happens. Just saying that likely as not what you see is what you get.

If Miller is in a slump we go to SAR at C, but if SAR spends time playing behind Brad you limit his time at PF, you certainly couldn't start him if he is the reserve Center. At least you don't have to rely on Woods if he isn't cutting it.
