fair-ish...i'd prefer gay over smith, brand in the east may almost equal stoudamire...it would depend on who else is on the rosters. I wouldn't veto the trade, I think the brand-gay combo may slightly edge the amare-smith combo.

Tough one. If you somehow knew that post-injury brand would be the same as pre-injury brand, then its a no brainer because Gay is lightyears ahead of Smith. It's a judgment call really. I'd probably do it

thanks for the input guys. from all the preseason reports and fantasy bball rankings, i think brand is back, if not 100% then pretty close to it. trying to pick up another good SF, but it's tough to offload jr smith for it!

I've been avoiding Brand because he may never be the same. But if you get Gay in the deal too, that's a winner. No guarantee Stoudemire will be 100% of himself statistically either in the new system.

and Amare is injured up right now...do it only if you need it. If it's a "whatever" kind of trade, stand fast with who you got.
