World cup agony continues for the Serbian team, team who is still world champion from Indianapolis 2002.I didn't have chance to watch the game cuz' there is no broadcast in Canada, but I hope somebody watched it so we can hear what happened. Is Nigeria really that good even without Obinha Ekezie? How was Darko?

Is Nigeria really that good even without Obinha Ekezie?

I'm quoting this because it's such an unlikely sentence that I can't even puzzle out the logic of it: Is Nigeria really that good, even without Obinna Ekezie? As in, the career 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, wasn't even in the league last year Obinna Ekezie?

Obi Wan who?

He was playing in Atlanta 2 years ago and he was one of the best players in European league last year,so I thought he is important player in their team...Whatever,topic is about world champion who is playing bad...

It is very simple. We aren't any good anymore. The team should make it to the 2nd round and lose big there. We turned the ball over 17 times and that is just too much. Darko shot threes 1/7. He scored 5 pts. On the other hand You can't blame us for sucking. You have to blame whomever gave us the wild card

do not despair. i don't think they are as bad as they were a few years ago where their heads were big but their game was not. i still see the serbian team as a darkhorse. as for the wildcard, well, serbia is one of the countries running fiba, so nothing unexpected.

That was my first reaction as well.

Yah,we made it...I think if we beat Argentina that we actually have chance to beat either Angola or Germany...We'll see.

Congrats, you guys!

we had the easiest group so it is no surprise. We play Argentina in 45 minutes and need a win to avoid playing Spain and going home early. This is the worst team we have had in 50 years. Except Milicic and Rakocevic - there is noone that is any good. Pretty sad - considering that we are two time defending champion
