Given that Kevin by himself should average around 38min/gm at SG, that precludes the possibility for an undersized pure SG with no ability to play SF or PG to get 15-20min. Throw in the presence of Cisco, a better, bigger, player who is also a coach's favorite and the possibility to even get those remainiing 10 begins to shrink dramtically. Throw in your SF being a swingman (Salmons) your backup PG being a career long 1/2, your starting PG being 6'3" and having played some 2 last year, and THEN the presence of a new scoring PG type in Brown and you have Douby right back where he's been -- squeezed into garbagetime. He needs somebody to get hurt, bottom line.
And even if they do...nobody drafts a skinny 6'2"/6'3" guy with the idea they will be a pure SG. Whenever those guys get drafted the thought is always well maybe we can turn them into a PG or combo guard or some such. When its clear they just aren't going to be able to do that...that's tough. When your coach basically had to have his arm twisted to the breaking point last year to play you even when the season was already lost, that's even tougher.
