With teams having streaks, both winning and losing, left and right and down the middle, this year's AL Wild Card race does look like it's gonna be spectacular.

There hasn't been much baseball talk recently (that may be because this is a KINGS fansite...lol) so I thought I'd try to get some going.

interesting...no yanks in playoffs?

i hate the yanks but i dont see baltimore going anywhere right now, and i dnot seem them pulling what the a's have pulle din their last 33 games, so i say baltimore is done....

Baltimore's lineup is straight up best in baseball. Yanks staff is decent, but will keep imploding on itself and can't sustain an entire year. The Os will get help, if they're smart dump Ponson, and get a nice run at the end of the year. I'd take Texas or Oakland over the Yankees at this point, but the Yanks aren't done dealing yet either, so who knows?

the yankees will just bloat their payroll even more. they arnt going anywhere. well, next year maybe. hopefully, steinbrenner might now realize that having an All-Star like lineup and paying them all huge amounts isnt the true answer. thankfully, it isnt.

im very happy that yankees fans are unhappy. heck, they deserve it :D

on the other side of the coin, theres the a's with an awesome farm system and a low payroll, doing better than the yanks with their low-end farm system and high-end payroll. YAY! :):):)

I hate to admit it but i think the yankees will find a way to win the wild card. It's matter of time till they go on a hot streak. As for the west, i think the A's are the team to beat in the west. It's not luck that wins 'em games, they've a lot of talent that has found a way to click together. Look for the A's to lead the west somtime in late august.
