Who are some possible big guys that we could trade Kenny Thomas for?

Stromile Swift, Reggie Evans (sign and trade), Samuel Dalembert (we would have to include more than Kenny) are a few that come to mind. The Kings cant just go into the season only having Miller at the 5 position.

I would have rather used the MLE on someone like Reggie Evans who could give the Kings their much needed rebounding.

Thoughts?

Evans meh.. Pretty much a one dimentional player. He rebounds.. That's all. His D isn't even that good.

But isnt rebounding the thing the Kings need most? Who would you recommend? Bonzi was our best rebounder last season, and he was a shooting guard. I think Stromile would be an awesome pickup for the Kings (reminds me of Keon Clark, but better).

Just one. Why is a Spurs fan pretending to be a Kings fan?

I was born in Sacramento and have lived there all my life. I know the Kings inside and out and personally know some of the players. Vlade used to be my next door neighboor. However I have always been a Spurs fan because of my idol, David Robinson. I am a big fan of both teams but watch a lot more Kings game (40-60) a year.

Whatever you say. Sorry, Ginobili_Is_God, but I'm just a bit skeptical.

Excuse me? I have not posted anything bad. I am a big Kings fan who has been watching since the days of Vinny D, Duane Causewell, Olden Polynice, and Tyus Edney. Excuse me for being a fan.

Back to the topic at hand...

We already have a number of threads where we've talked about virtually every available or even not-so-available big we might want to get. The problem isn't who we want; the real problem is getting someone to take Kenny Thomas in exchange for them.

Kenny Thomas is a good player. I think a lot of teams would love to have him. Why not a Kenny Thomas/Francisco Garcia trade to the Cavs for Drew Gooden? Gooden can rebound and has a decent inside game.

I think the Kings would love a player like Carlos Boozer. However, he probably is out of their price range.

You really need to take a few minutes and read some of the threads already under discussion. You're simply repeating things that have been brought up time and time again.

We don't need or want Drew Gooden. Along with his request of 10 million over 5-6 years.

Boozer? Not really what we need, and a big contract. A risk with his unproven health.

Evans? We already have a better Reggie Evans in KT.

Dalembert? Sure. A good athletic big man, and damn good shotblocker. His post-defense? Well, you'd have to live with it.

Swift? I'd be fine with him. He's a good athlete, long, a good shotblocker, not much of a post-defender or a quality rebounder though. We'd need a defensive big man behind Brad Miller of course.

What the Kings need are defensive big men with size, and the ability to be an interior presence; Wright/Cato/Dalembert/Olowokandi/Jeff Foster/Etan Thomas/Brendan Haywood/Maybe Chris Wilcox (I think limited oppurtunities are shading what he can be).

LOL I love it.

Nice way to change the subject.

Hah, I actually really like the Swift/Keon comparison. Most people won't though because everybody views Stro as a bust since he was picked 1st(I think, not sure, don't remember) and when people are saying no to a player they love to point that out. They're actually pretty similar IMO, both good shotblockers and dunkers because they have athleticism but no brains.

Kenny would be a good fit if we could get some more athleticism in the front court and he would come off the bench. I actually like to view him as a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH worse version of Dennis Rodman(mainly because they're both 6'7'', played PF, rebound well for their size although the worm took it to a whole new level...).

I wish we could give him and Garcia up for Wilcox but if the Sonics are going to give us Wilcox, they will be asking for a player like SAR in return.

I don't like Reggie Evans, I haven't ever since he grabbed Kaman and I remember reading that one of the reasons Radmanovich didn't like the team was because Evans did it in practice too. Ron would probably KILL Reggie Evans if he did it to him.

There's also the possibility you have to settle for an expiring for KT, honestly I would be fine with that...

Do you do anything besides lock threads and criticize people?

When the person involved is a troll from a Spurs board, I have no problem criticizing him at all.

If that doesn't answer your question, please feel free to contact me via a PM and we'll discuss it.

KT has a 5 or 6 year albatross of a contract around his neck. And when your a 6-7 power forward who can't post up and have limited range on a jumper and are not known for driving to the bucket, finding a team who wants him with the $6M albatross will be tough.

She also agrees to disagree.

I've checked all 22 posts written by GiG, and GiG has not said anything troll-worthy whatsoever. He/she lives in Carmichael, and was a neighbor of Vlade, which is consistent, since Vlade lived in Carmichael. If he/she is a troll, then he/she has done some in-depth research on the Kings, to the point of knowing where the Kings live within Sacramento, and for some reason, I doubt that. I think a more reasonable conclusion is paranoia/delusion from a different party.

"Water, Water everywhere and not a drop to drink." Kind of like all the bigs out there. They're everywhere, but not a "drop" seemingly available for us. Oh well. We shall see what is left to be done before the first buzzer!!

Actually not in this case -- this was a slow pitch from another board. The confirmation posts simply do not appear for anyone but the moderators.

A slow pitch? I'm not sure what that is, but I'll accept the explanation. But has this guy said anything wrong within these posts?

I think maybe none of you have seen the offending posts to begin with (because we, as mods, are doing our jobs) and you have no idea what you are talking about.

Have a nice day.

Since this thread was started by a troll and has quickly dissolved into nothing of substance, I'm going to use my moderator powers and close it.
