Who are some players you guys want to go after?

Ok I don't know if this falls into the official trade thread but I assume it doesn't. It's just a list of players you think Petrie could go after to make the team better, not really a trade thread. Also you can merge this if you feel like it falls into the trade thread thing.

Here are some free agents in the offseason I think we should go after:

Kelvin Cato(he's another big and can rebound a bit)
Jason Terry(he could be a good sixth man like a super bobby J OR we could trade Bibby for someone else if we could get him)
Nene(his injury hopefully means he comes cheap, and he's still young. He'll still be a good player even though he'll be rusty).

Other players who aren't free agents we should go after:
Joe Johnson(He brings some perimeter d, better rebounder than peja, good ball handler, good passer, very good shooter when he's on a good team like last year in PHX, his stats in ATL don't reflect his skill. He's on a terrible team and facing double and tripple teams and on a team with guys who suck at rebounding even more than us and can't make shots)

I'll find some more a little later, but I definately feel like these guys could help us!:)

Cato
Nene
Jarvis Hayes
Matt Harpring
Speedy Claxton
Nazr Mohammed (probably stays with Spurs though)
Caron Butler
Reggie Evans
Marcus Banks (I like this kid)
James Posey (bet he stays with Heat though)
Jumaine Jones
Aaron Williams
Jason Hart (if he works out, which I think he well could)

All free-agents next season
-------

This season: Wesley Person/Lynch/Felipe Lopez/Rodney Rogers/Rodney White/Lucious Harris/Dion Glover. :) ;)

Well are we considering changing out some of our starters? Because if we don't none of these guys would really change the problems with our D.

I like Cato, Nene if hes making under 7 million a year, Battie, Gadz, Reggie Evans, they could all help in the areas we have no effort in. But for them to be effective somebody would have to be packing their bags.

oh, ok

hedo, b.jackson, j.jackson, pollard, wallace, j.williams, o-tag, mo evans, webber, j.barry...........

I meant guys that are attainable, but obviously you knew that seeing as that was sarcasm:rolleyes:

Attainable for what purpose?

If this is a team in transition with the real possibility of trades before the Feb. deadline, then to try and figure out what free agents the Kings should go for next TDOS is just fantasy-fodder.

Frankly, I agree with sanity.

If you're gonna dream, it doesn't cost any more to dream in technicolor. Of course, MY list wouldn't include Shaq.

i was talking about shaq of five years ago

1. Amare
2. Dwight Howard
3. Wade
4. LeBron
etc.

If you're gonna rebuild, might as well go young.

I'll make a legit list later, when I have time. Stay tuned.

Only possible Superstar that is would have to be KG right now..

Peja, Reef and Miller for KG, Kandi and Eddie Griffin. Don't know if it works from a numbers perspective, but it would sure solve our frontcourt athleticism problems. And if the Kings are going to trade for KG, the one guy they need to keep is Bibby. I vote for keeping Bonzi as he is currently the least of the Kings' problems of the five starters, imho.

Dwayne Wade hands down. Watch tonight and you will see why.....

Does anyone realize we could have had him if we would have sent Bobby Jackson to the Heat for the draft pick?? True story but we said no...

dwade on the kings .... our offense would be unstoppable with his offensive game .
