I've heard nothing about anybody the Kings are scheduling in/have scheduled in for pre-draft workouts. Anybody know anything?

Per an ESPN writer on Twitter, Noah Vonleh will visit Sacramento on June 2. Not sure what sort of workout that may entail.

Yeah, Vonleh is the only one I've heard about so far and I had to actively seek that out. Hopefully they release the workout dates soon, like in other years.

That first workout is great. Hope they put a video up of it like in other years.
Second workout not so impressive but I get that they have to do their due diligence. I'm not a fan of Ennis, I don't see what he does well enough to be a rotational player in the NBA, but hey, he's young and I haven't seen a huge amount of him.

Payton, Smart, Ennis .. with Payton and Smart going up against each other... that sounds great.

I get the same vibe about IT free agency as we saw with Tyreke last year!
Someone is going to overpay for IT and we won't match....if he's still with us I'd be surprised

Yeah, I feel like management believes we have our superstar in Cuz... everyone else is interchangeable and expendable. Just mix and match and see what works well with Cuz.
Maybe, maybe not. There have been whispers that the King's FO views IT as a sixth man. If the best offer he gets is for the MLE or close to it then I could see the Kings matching. If they draft a PG then Thomas can start until (if?) beaten out and at that point become an ideal bench spark plug.
I view that as an ideal scenario.
Looking at the video of the workouts today....really, really like Smart. Bratz had lots of good things to say about Vonleh and said Payton had a good workout.....ditto for Ennis. If Smart and Vonleh are gone and they aren't sold on Gordon, you may see us trade down a bit, then take Payton or Ennis. I don't think we are going to get 2 number 1s for the pick at 8. I do think that we could pick up a lower first and then a 2nd rounder as long as we get a Payton or Ennis

He said guys who can't shoot well don't do well in the NBA, which is empirically false. You just made a totally different argument. And I don't think Westbrook handled the ball better than Smart coming out of UCLA. Smart's ball-handling is fine, it's not a weakness. He's never had trouble with it.

All those guys have decent jumpshots...except Kidd who eventually developed a good set shot later in his career. . As a PG, you have to have a good enough shot that people will at least respect it and not sag off you. You will have a hard time penetrating if guys just play off you and dare you to shoot.

Rondo has a decent jumpshot... Really? Wall... Seriously? Come on now. Parker still can't shoot from the outside. All those guys, including Rose and Westbrook, came into the league with very, very weak shooting. That's why you don't pass on talent based on shooting.
As for your last point, it's true to a point. What about Tyreke? Can't shoot but gets to the rim at will anyway. Talent is talent.

Maybe you and I have different opinions of those PGs jumpshots....They not great shooters, but to me those guys have good enough jumpshots where they have to be respected. Tyreke is rather the exception when it comes to penetration . But then again, Tyreke is elite in that category and how many Tyreke's are there. I'm just not sold on Smart, like other people.
