I don't believe he would like coming off the bench. Besides, we struggled last year trying to work Webber back into the lineup so I'd hate to see us try to do it again. I would say that he will probably wind up with Shaq in Miami.

Miami, San Antonio make the most sense.

On the other hand, while I sincerely dislike the turd, he would be an ideal backup in our system. Good passer, outside shot, pick and roll expert, post game etc. Would increase our odds. Just don't see it happening though.

Is he even playing this season? I thought he would've already picked a team by now and be suited up. We've been hearing the same group of teams for months now, but where is Karl? I think his knee isn't ready and might not be ready at all this season.

I think you might be right.

It's looking more and more like he'll simply retire. At this point he's been out a long time. He may be in excellent condition, etc. but the mental acumen you need for the game can only be kept at a high level for so long. He could have a lot of trouble getting back any kind of hunger to perform well and IMHO if he doesn't have that, he is going to be KARL MALONE.

Malone could decide soon

Karl Malone is inching closer to retirement.

[size=-2]Malone[/size] The second-leading scorer in NBA history will make that decision in the next few weeks, Dwight Manley, Malone's agent, told the Los Angeles Times.

The San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in Malone, but also he has not committed to a team after finishing last season with a knee re-injured in the Los Angeles Lakers' playoff run.

"Probably toward retirement, just because that's what he is right now, theoretically," Manley told the paper. "Things usually go the direction of where you're at."

Lakers owner Jerry Buss has offered Malone a front-office job if he retires.

I think he should retire. He is old now, and hasn't played basketball in a while. i think he is one of the best players that haven't won a NBA Championship ring.
