What will the other Kings say???

Webb complimented Bibby as much as Bibby complimented him. I think this trade will hurt Bibby the most. Probably Adelman too.

They are professionals - and very well paid too. They will not do anything stupid or crazy.

I am sure they are shockes but life will eventually go on

They'll be very hurt obviously, probably the main guys (Peja, Mike, Brad & Bobby) more so than anything.

You can only imagine what it's like to lose not one but 3 main guys in one organization in less than a year.

Right now they gotta stay strong for each other, Chris wouldn't expect anything less from them.

Mike's definitely hurting right now, but he now has a chance to step out of the shadows and maybe be a leader of this team. Can he? I hope so.

They are professionals. They won't sit and sulk or asked to be traded becasue their friend is gone. Its going to hurt and sting for a while...a long while.

Yeah, they'll do just fine. Just because their team captain, the guy the franchise has been built around, the guy who has shown heart, heart and more HEART has been traded, I'm sure the rest of the team will feel just fine.

not.

Virtually every play runs through our big men. If some of you really think Brad Miller can step in and pick it up on his own you are insane. If you think we have anything left to hope for this year, you're nuts.

Teams don't recover from things like this overnight. I cannot for the life of me remember anything like this happening that EVER made a team more competitive, more cohesive, etc.

If people think Peja is going to step up and take control of this team, they are going to be sorely disappointed. I won't say any thing more because I am a moderator and I have a lot of respect for the Peja fans on this board.

The Kings players gathered at Doug's house when he was traded. I have a feeling they're all at Webb's right now and I only wish I could tell them how truly sorry I am to see what has been done to each and every one of them. It wasn't just Webber who was traded. EVERY single player on the team has to feel a lot more vulnerable.

Maybe the Maloofs will be able to find another city to take the shell of the team after all.

If Bibby wants out than he is unprofesional and a cry baby. Of course he is dissapointed, as are many Kings but that doesn't mean he is going to quit on the team. He has a good chance to step it up and become more of a player than he ever was. Why would he back away from something like that. Dont call it quits yet for the Kings, lets see how the playoffs go first.

Oh please. If you're going to talk about people having to step ip up and become more of a player, look no further than your avatar. And quite frankly? I don't think he has the balls to do it.

I would hope as a professional they would play hard. This is a business.

Once again, this team was one of the best teams in the league lat year WITHOUT CHris Webber.

Let's see what happens.

your signature (vf) says it all (despite what some cynics might say)...I am still in shock...can't believe I won't see CWebb at the game tomorrow night.

GM. It was great with Vlade and Peja playing awesome together. Vlade is still not a kings uniform is he? So why all of a sudden will Peja be happy. He is still a little ingrate.

HEY LISTEN!!!!

It's not the player who quit. It's the Kings ownership quit on the players, and thousands and thousands loyal fans all over the world!

this is all very depressing...and what makes it worse is that ive been sitting here for awhile now to even posting and just reading everyone argue

::sigh::

but ill say it again...i find it very interesting/entertaining to see everyones true feelings about Peja come to the surface

Did you call peja out and say he was unprofessional and a cry baby when he said he wanted out? Just curious.

I am sure the Kings players are feeling the same way we are. Shocked, confused, angry, sad, and yet hopeful that something else is waiting in the wings tomorrow. I also believe they understand that support has to be shown to Webber and like the Kings often do they will rally around him for the short while they have. I can't presume to KNOW what Peja is thinking right now, but maybe he is shocked as well, maybe upset that it wasn't him, scared with the road he faces ahead of him. Will he step up? I don't know. I cannot see the future. We can guess and speculate and think we know what will happen but we don't. He may, he may not. The Kings just have to see what happens tomorrow and then move on. Play ball, and never forget why you do it.

I'm sure Mike is pissed. And, I'd be pissed too, if I were him.

But, he's a big boy. He'll go out and play hard like he always does.

I'd love to see him step up and be a leader on this team, because he's definitely got the heart to do so. Don't know that he has the leader personality, though.

And, as for rallying at Chris' house -- they can't. They're in Dallas. Learning of what has GOT to be a tough, tough blow for the team while on their way to a monster road trip and a "Rivalry Week" game at Dallas.

Yippee!! What fun.
