what was the last movie you watched?

Coincidentally, I watched the Doors last week. He does about as good a Morrison impression as you could hope to find in Hollywood. Of course the horribly miscast Meg Ryan just about ruins the entire film.

I'm not a Stone fan (only film of his I've liked is Natural Born Killers, the rest of his catalog is unwatchable, self-indulgent crap), but I own The Doors strictly for Kilmer's performance.

The last movie I watched was 25th hour. Pretty good film up to the ending. While I realize what Spike Lee was trying to do (I won't spoil the movie with details), it just doesn't work and leaves you with an empty feeling about the film. Edward Norton (as usual) is great.

I liked 25th Hour enough to forgive the ending. Great cast (with the exception of Barry Pepper -- as superficial as it may be, his face annoys me) and Norton, especially, is great. Lee's tone is good in that one, as well. Sometimes I find that he tends to get so wrapped up in his own message -- not an insult, by the way -- that it becomes too easy to ignore his eye as a director.

I've heard a lot of good about that film, but keep forgetting to pick it up.


I rented Syriana because I have been absolutely jumping out of my skin to see it since it was first released in theatres, but decided I didn't have the attention span for it tonight.

Now that it's 11:30, of course, I'm in the mood to watch it. S'pose I'll be good and wait until tomorrow.

This doesn't have anything to do with which movie I watched last, but is anyone thinking about seeing "Me,You, and Dupree" anytime soon? What do you think about it so far? I think its gonna be a pretty interesting movie to see.

Just saw "A Scanner Darkley" I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I loved the book whenI read it years ago and I love Richard Linkleter so my expectations were maybe a little too high. Was deifnatly NOT your run of the mill Hollwood crap and also NOT for everyone. Very artistic and thought provoking. If you like weird and don't demad compleete resolution give it a look.

2 movies I recommend is: Green Street Hooligans (Elijah Wood/ Clare Forlani) & Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Robert Downey Jr./ Val Kilmer)

Both indie movie DVDs and IMO, I really enjoyed them both..

ok so i saw casino and dragon- the bruce lee story this weekend. seen both several times before, and both are still very good.

also caught some of coming to america-- eddie murphy is a riot in this movie. been forever since i had seen it.

I saw 'Lady in the Water' over the weekend, M. Night's latest movie. Really good, one of his better ones. Definitely an improvement from the awful 'The Village'. Of course being an apartment dweller makes it all the more interesting.

Wow-I saw 'Lady' without reading any reviews of it, which is a rarity for me. Usually I will go with the general concensus of movie reviewers when deciding to see a certain movie. If it gets universally trashed, then forget it, I won't go see it. Well, in this case I am glad I didn't, because 'Lady' has gotten nothing but bad reviews! I actually really enjoyed the film. It wasn't perfect and flawless, but overall it was good. Is there something wrong with me??
