what was the last movie you watched?

C'era una volta il West (Once upon a Time in the West)- (1968). Sergio Leone puts most Spagetthi Westerns to shame.

And this one's for Bricklayer:

Brick (2005)- Outstanding debut film from Rian Johnson.

Anyone ever see a movie called 'Wolf Creek'? It came up on my Netflix new releases. It's an independent Aussie horror movie, it got a lot of good acclaim at Sundance. I love a good horror movie, so I rented it. I also rented 'Pumpkinhead', which I haven't seen in years. I can't remember if it was any good or not. All I remember is that the monster was so scary-looking.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I just watched V for Vendetta. I really enjoyed it except for the fact that my better half knocked my projector ever so slightly out of alignment and I invited a friend over to watch and so I wasn't going to take the time to fix everything. I knew it was going to be rather subversive but was still a little surprised at how blatant it was for a big budget mainstream film. I also appreciated the fact that it was toned down a bit from the last of the Matrix films which I hated.

Definitely have Who Killed the Electric Car in my to see list.

I just saw Ricky Bobby Last night! The NASCAR scenes are pretty good, and it has some hysterically funny parts, but it kind of drags on toward the end. I give it 2 1/2 stars. "The Benchwarmers" was better.

Wolfcreek. It's an Australian indie horror film that I found on Netflix recommendations. It got raves at Sundance, so I thought I'd check it out. Truly terrifying, horrifying, and chilling. I usually don't watch the behind the scenes DVD extras, but I had to with this one because I was so scared that I needed to see the realization that it was indeed just a movie. A great watch, but if you don't like violent gore, then skip it. I don't at all like horror movies that are gory, but this film made up for it because it was so well made and definitely not a slasher flick.
