What PF do you want to trade for?

How about someone like Elson or Steven Hunter for back-up C before Pollard. Athletic big men effective without the ball, and Elson has a solid jumpshot aside from putbacks and dunks.

Actually he is proving he is underrated in this year's playoffs. Just watch. Any big guy that can shoot over 40% from downtown is more than decent. He is hardly undersized at 6-10/240. Its not like there are a plethora of 7-footers available with the skillset you are looking for. I think this guy would fit in with the other guys we got.

TT is awesome. I keep thinking why we couldn't give him a call when he was in Philly sitting at home after the Bulls wanted to develop Noconi and Deng. He is a great 3 pt shooter for a big guy and is a hard worker. He has good size and is built, not a flabby 240. We would kill teams with TT coupled with Bonzi and Artest, really take it to them and beat them up (Bully them). I really like how Bonzi and Artest do that and if we could have a PF that does that as well and can spread the floor like TT, we can definately send Miller packing and get Prizbilla or another stay at home kind of Center that holds his ground and gets the rebounds. What do you guys think about Kamen on the Clippers? I don't know his $ etc, but we need a guy like that as Center who is fairly athletic, but doesn't allow a red carpet to the basket like Miller has been doing. I don't know if I'd call Kamen athletic, but for a Center he is.

Potapenko has been in the nba for 10 years, he's not going to develop into anything.

Yeah, let's get Tim Thomas! Then we can have the three headed trio of Rahim, KT, and TT, all of whom are undersized and are below average defenders. Then we could split the PF postion's minutes in three ways. So all three of them could get 16 minutes a night. Wouldn't that be a dream scenario for those three.

Sarcasim aside, TT is a good player, albeit a little overrated, but we need a weak, permiter-oriented PF about as much as we need to give Brad Miller a contract extension. Also, I think he's a less physical player than either SAR or KT. SAR will at least go down low and post up. TT won't do that unless he's playing SF (he would rarely play SF for us). KT will at least try to body up on D and he is a good rebounder, TT isn't much of a rebounder. Getting TT would only worsen our logjam at PF as it is and TT doesn't really do anything for us that we don't already have. Plus, he's a free agent, how would we get him?

Great points. I think one of the stipulations that I originally stated was that we get rid of either Rahim or KT if we go after TT. Then I stated that KT's contract was garbage so we send Rahim somewhere for either a new center, or a backup PG. I distinctly remember how all of a sudden our weak defensive players stepped it up in Artest's presence. I don't think it would be much different for anyone coming in. TT would make a good 3/4 swingman. I don't think we need another post up guy if we make the right moves for a new center. We can use Bonzi and Ron down low with the big guys on the perimeter who can shoot over anyone. If opponents don't bring their bigger guys to the perimeter we can shoot over them all day. If they do, then Bonzi and Ron have more room to post up since they are obvious mis-matches for any team. That was the logic.
