What is the best Basketball movie?

#1
Don't hate me guys but the best Basketball movie I think would be the Blue Chips!! I didn't know Butch McRae was Penny Hardaway until I recognized the way he dribble...

I liked The Sixth Man and The Air Up There also!
Petrie should signed Kevin Bacon....

I enjoyed the Pistol Pete movie as a kid... although the basketball scenes in it seem extremely wooden. Maybe that's a more accurate reflection on the style of basketball played during Pistol Pete's time however :)

White Men Can't Jump was a great movie.

Who doesn't like Woody Harrelson with Rosie Perez? :p

I'll have to catch some of the other movies you all have listed...

1. Hoop Dreams - The father of one of the boys in the movie just died a few weeks ago. Was shot and killed in a robbery in Chicago

2. White Men Can't Jump

3. Love and Basketball

Honorable Mention - Fish That Saved Pittsburgh, Like Mike, Space Jam

He Got Game ... Jesus! Jesus! John Turturro was hilarious! "I prayed to the Lord! I said Lord... Deliver Jesus to us!" --Classic!

Was Ray Allen had a movie? Directed by Spike Lee i think.....

I wish there will be a basketball movie that is really inspiring, to know more about not just playing basketball but respecting each players, and also not just winning but reaching their goal! More like a "Remember the Titans" and "Varsity Blues" kind of movie.

There's so many great football movies, wish more great basketball movies also in the future!

coach carter hasn't even come out yet but it looks like it will be one of the greatest basketball movies to come out just by seeing the previews

Previews can also be deceiving. Haven't you ever seen previews to a movie and then saw the movie and been disappointed?
