The consensus seems overwhelming that the first two picks in the coming draft will be Griffin and Rubio (if he decides to stay in). Lets, for the sake of argument, say Rubio opts out of the draft this year.
Let's support the conspiracy theory that the kings get the 2nd, 3rd or 4th pick in the coming draft. Not that I want that, nor am saying they will fall to 3 or 4, but rather a hypothesis of "what happens IF the Kings pick is #2, 3 or #4??
The consensus #3 pick seems to be the 7-3 Thabeet. Then there is everyone else. There are a number of very good next level players in this draft who will play in the NBA and a number of which could/should start in the first year or two. But little consensus who they would be.
Who makes sense for the Kings as a 3-4 pick or is there a trade scenario that make sense at that point? Thabeet? But we have Hawes who is coming on fine and is a banger. Thabeet is NOT a banger.
BTW I think that Jennings is a big mistake this year. No proof in his performance in Euroland, a small dynamic guard with much more hype than substance IMHO.
Then I keep reading online about 3 or 4 PG/SG types who CAN play the point but who are more shooters than passers, Bibby types I think. I have no clue at this point.
