What can this package get us?

G-League
Ok, i'm going to be a believer and say we get the 2nd pick and take Evan Turner (A dream that can be possible).

I say we start:

1 - Tyreke Evans
2 - Evan Turner
3 - Donte Greene

Other than that, anyone can go. Garcia we will most likely keep as our 6th man to fill for the 1,2,3 positions since he has no value around the league because of his contract.

Package any or all of Omri Casspi + Jason Thompson + Spencer Hawes + Beno Udrih + Nocioni + Landry

Can we get a star big + filler?
Can we get Bynum + Vujacic?
All the players in that list have positive value except Nocioni.
Landry and Casspi I would say have really high value, while Thompson and Hawes have decent value around the league still.
Beno is no longer negative value, but he is more neutral.

Having said that, what are we looking at?

Bynum? Josh Smith? Bosh?

What exactly is the package you would like the kings to offer? All I see is draft Turner, keep Tyreke and Donte, and offer anyone else in a trade.

No offense, but I think you should put a little more thought into your post. You're asking everone else to do all the work, on top of assuming we land the #2 pick, and take Turner.

If we're trading half of our team, we'd damn well better be getting something of value back in return. I don't really think that's a package, more like a list of names of players.

Do YOU have any ideas?

I have an idea...dont ever under any circumstances make a trade with the Lakers. ESPECIALLY for Bynum who is Greg Oden lite(not in any positive manner) and Sasha is a total scrub who just happens to play on one of the best teams in the league. Also, if we draft turner why would we want to trade JT Hawes or Landry? We need someone to play PF and C. I dont see why we would trade any of them to be honest, unless we are getting a bosh-esqe player. But if we are giving one of them up for a player like that we would most likely have to include our pick as well. Which we are not doing. You could maybe have a case for trading one of those guys if we draft Cousins/Favors for a guard cuz trying to develope 4 young big men wont be easy. But you never trade big for small, especially young guys who have yet to fully develope. Beno is a servicable guard/starter until we draft his replacement. He actually has more value to us right now than most other teams in the league. The only player we should be doing evrything we can to trade is Noc. But who wants his overpriced contract and millions of bricked threes? So good luck with that...

There's nothing light about Bynum. That man's built like a solid brick of onion rings. That being said, great post.

We could always give New York a call... or the grizzlies. Maybe even the Warriors

No offense, but I think the post is clear enough and not wanting elaboration. And I think you pretty much got it. He wants to know what fans think we can get by offering any combination of players ( depending on one's perspective ) not named Evans, Greene, and Turner. That is assuming we'll get Turner on this coming draft and keeping him.

Sign and trade, or which ever combination of players from the choices that will work to get Greg Oden or Josh Smith. I'll be very happy if we can get one of those two at the expense of getting rid of this team of the remaining liabilities in defense ( Spencer and Beno ).

Thank you for clarifying.
Basically wondering, can a package involving any of our players excluding the 3 guys get us another top 5 pick for Favors or Cousins? Can it get us Josh Smith? Chris Bosh? Should we go after Okafor if they took Noc off our hands? If we get us a star PF and give up 2 of our 3 bigs, should we sign Camby?
Sorry, i'm vague, but part of the reason for that is because I am not aware of what is out there...

No and no.

The issue when talking about a trade for a guy like Josh Smith is that it isn't just about trade value. He has been there a long time and developed into a major cog in their system. He is young and they know exactly how he fits with the other players when he steps onto the court. I know some will bring up Joe Johnson possibly leaving, but he seems very likely to re-sign. Even if he doesn't they have a developing Teague and could try to sign someone with the MLE or something. Atlanta has a good thing going with Smith, so I can't seem them diluting their talent by giving away a top player in return for some solid-but-not-great ones. The only way I see them breaking up that core is if a new GM/Coach regime came in and wanted to move in a different direction.

People don't seem to want to hear it, but Bosh is just not a realistic proposition. He has to sign off on any sign-and-trade, and Sacramento isn't going to be his first, second, or even third choice. We aren't a big destination, and Tyreke Evans and a top-5 pick aren't going to change that in one season. There are too many other teams with cap space to sign him outright, and too many other teams with the assets to get him. This team has a lot of potential moving forward with our young talent, but he would rather head somewhere with more established players because he won't want to wait around for other guys to develop and get experience. After years of mediocrity, he wants to be on a team that is a deep playoff contender from day 1. Failing that, he is going to want to go to a big market with another established vet that he has hung out with at all-star games and the Olympics. If we were one of the only teams with cap space and it was between us and the Timberwolves or something, I would be more optimistic. That just isn't the case.

Should we go after Okafor if they took Noc off our hands?
Probably a more realistic option and brings a lot of skills we need. I seriously doubt that Petrie and the Maloofs would really sign off on such a big money commitment to a guy like him.

I think that a top 5 pick would be pretty difficult to get. We have the assets to do it in your scenario, but you would have to find the right team at the right time. You would need a team with a weak bench that would rather upgrade with a couple very good players than wait for the potential upside of a draft pick. It doesn't happen all that often in the top-5, but it isn't impossible. It happened last year with Washington in what was perceived as a weak draft. It would be more likely to find a taker in the 6-10 sort of range in a deal for Thompson or Hawes plus Casspi or Greene, but if you couldn't get a pick up around 5-6 your probably better off just keeping them.

How about Hawes + 2011 1st pick (top 10 protected) for the Cole Aldrich pick? We get Turner and Aldrich in the same draft. Not too bad.

Sounds good to me. Although Aldrich is another gamble and maybe another long term project, he's got healthier knees than the one we're giving away in exchange ( Hawes ) Plus, Aldrich looks like the tougher player in the paint.

I think you can omit the top 10 protection because after replacing one softie starter center with another one who is willing to bang, I believe there is no way we'll be in the cellar again. And with Turner on board, I can pretty much see it as slam dunk.
