what are YOU looking for in peja tonight?

Yeah, he wasn't the only one that was weak. PERIOD!!
He's the only one that is every game... no matter what. If it was just one game so be it, but you can't deny that we are seeing a pattern here... can you?

Well sadly, no one took the challenge to step up, so stop pointing fingers at one individual.
He is the best player left on the Team! We need him to step up! He never does! It sucks! Quit making excuses for him! I stopped a long time ago, he is weak every time we need him.

Seeing a pattern??

Like I said before, no one showed up in the 4th.

If you need to point fingers at each player, why don't you list everyone?

Well, maybe it's your style to point fingers, as for me I don't go there.

You actually acknowledge Peja is one of the best players on the Kings. Well that’s the first.

Well I am not going to get into this with you because it aint going nowhere.

Because everyone else has stepped in the 4th for us and won games, Brad, Bobby, Bibby, even Darius! Peja had 0 points tonight in the 4th, no one has been as invisible in the 4th as Peja has on a consistant basis, you act like tonight is the first time you've ever heard this... Like I said If it was just tonight I wouldn't say a thing, but it's not... stop pretending like it is!

Yeah so sad.... Peja made the team lose tonight.

Yup, it's all his fault.

Yes, I have an opinion - but I'm not going to step into the middle of what has become a tedious exchange. I think it's best just to let it go...

Okay, enough is enough.

Peja let the team down!!! Okay?

He is supposed to be our shining star but he continually fades when we need him the most. It was all Webber's fault before. Then it was because nobody is passing him the ball. Well, he did real good for one half tonight and reminded me of the old VF21 Rule of Peja Basketball - On any given night, Peja will play well for two quarters. He will NOT perform well for an entire game.

I am sick of people giving him a free pass when he doesn't do what he's supposed to do. The game dynamic didn't change that much, but Peja AND THE REST OF THE TEAM went to hell.

Peja was a major contributor to tonight's loss and I would tell him so to his face, along with everyone else who suddenly forgot what the hell they were doing.

You must not read my posts, it's not about tonight, although tonight proves the rule.. it's always. Peja seems to buckle under pressure particularly in the playoffs and in big games. Please give me some examples of how I'm wrong instead of just saying, "Oh yeah it's Pejas fault we lost tonight" over and over. I love the guy, I thought he could maybe step up and carry this team, he certainly has the talent, he's obviously the most talented player on this team now... but he just can't lead this team when the pressure is on, and since the trade that's his role... he just can't do it that's all. If it makes you feel any better I don't think Bibby can anymore either. Without Webb, Mike just isn't the same player. But I think Peja is the better player of the 2 and that it's up to him to take the responsibilty, thats all.

Meh, Pedja outplayed his counterpart ... he wasn't the one guarding Allen.
In fact, Pedja is so far outplaying Lewis (who by the way is an all-star) for the whole series, even though he is not playing as well as he can ...
There are many reasons why we lost the game today and Pedja is a part of it, but he is hardly the main reason for the Kings pee poor play.

No one was able to guard Allen, which was just part of the problem IMHO.

Peja was doing very well and then, as is his wont in the playoffs, he totally disappeared. When you're counting on someone to do something and they do it for one half, is it really that unreasonable to think maybe, just maybe, they'll continue to do it for the rest of the game?

While I agree that Peja may not have been the sole reason for the poor play, he was as much a contributor as anyone else - and that's what gets me riled. Some people want to give him a pass because he's cute - or he's done well before - or whatever.

Sorry if I've gone off the deep end.

I think I need to go outside and threaten to kick a tree.

Yeah, what happened? Did you drop the bleeping basket?

Good help is so difficult to find nowadays!

;)

Nah, Pedja played some solid D throughout the game, got his hand on a number of balls. If you are looking to single someone out tonight, it would be Mobley on both sides of the floor (EVANS, PLEASE!) and Bibby on offense...

God help us in Game 5.

The game was shaping up as if it was meant to be a platform for Pedja to lay on his 4th quarter credentials. He did get two decent looks beyond the arc and he did take the shots instead of dumping the ball off or hesitating. He missed them both. If he made them, even if we still lost that game would be much closer. The set up was perfect: He gets off to a super start, he had 27 points through three quarters, for very long period he matched Ray Allen who was going crazy out there and then nothing. Maybe he thought that after missing those two he should take a step back and let someone else have a go, but it quickly become aparent that the whole team fell apart and I don't think that anyone would be upset if he ripped the ball out of Mike's or Cat's hands and laid some brick himself, because it was apparent that the game is not just slipping away it was a runaway train.

I take no pleasure in pointing this out and I am sure that there are Pedja sceptics out there who will keep saying "I told you so" over and over, but it was a huge opportunity for Pedja and it just slipped away. I sincerely hope that next time he will assert himself for better or worse.

A tisket, a tasket, I dropped the bleeping basket?

I dunno. The message board format makes it difficult for me to employ my usual tricks. Normally, if I want to change the subject, I just flash people and distract them.

That, obviously, doesn't work here.

Lord help me for getting into this conversation (and, please, tell me if I'm wrong, VF), but I think her point was that we should NOT be singling anyone out after this game.

The TEAM fell apart. All of them. No ONE person can be blamed.

I apologize; I didn’t see the first post where you stated “Enough”.

I hope everyone is cool again. =P

My mistake, I quoted the wrong message.

I could always tell a G3 post right away because of the Angelina Jolie avatars. I don't always recognize the new one and have to sometimes check again to make sure who the poster was...
