Eric Clapton- Lay Down Sally
De La ft MF Doom- Rock CoKane flow
more depending on whatever strikes me

RoyalDiva- I know how you feel. Johnny Cash is one of my all time favs, and there are a lot of country artists out there who are really good. Neko Case of the New Pornographers has some great solo stuff. But I don't think I'll get to the point of listening to popular modern country stuff, it all just sounds like really bad pop sang with a southern accent to me. Doesn't stick to any sort of country sound, at least not in any significant way that I perceive.

Now: MF Grimm and MF Doom- WWIII
mf doom rules!!!!!!! Operation Doomsday was a straight classic.... he has a new album coming out with Ghostface........

right now im listening to trey songz - cheat on you... its a cool song if anyone wants it holla at me ;)

"Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)," by The Beatles.

I really need to invest in some more Beatles. Grew up with a mother who owned their entire catalogue on vinyl. Lived with a girl for two years who owned their entire catalogue on vinyl. Am stuck listening to my one measley little "Anthology 2" CD on my own. I used to be so spoiled.

As I've always said, I doubt that any significant portion of today's society has any moral objection to stealing. Take away the chance of being caught and wholesale theft is the result.

In that vein, I'm currently listening to "Been Caught Stealing" by Jane's Addiction

I would never do that.

Not because I have a problem with the stealing aspect of it, mind you, but because I'm really OCD when it comes to my CDs -- I MUST have liner notes, all the artwork, etc. that goes alond with the disc.

I am big on having the physical album in my possession too, but my biggest problems with illegal downloads (and legal downloads to some extent too) are the following:

(1) It will drive music to become even more singles oriented which is a shame. Several of my favorite albums are greater than the sum of their parts.

(2) Lower profit margins for record companies means less risk taking by their A & R guys. Finding incredible music will become even more difficult as the industry becomes even more awash in blandness.
