what about bibby
Not really close, in my opinion. He was just a good player for the Kings. A very important player in 2002 and 2003. There have been many like Bibby for the Kings over the years, not quite special enough to get a retired number.what about bibby
Down the road...not anytime soon...but I'd retire his jersey just for his shot in the Game 5, 2002!what about bibby

No way.what about bibby
HEY, some people need to ease up on bibby. the man was a tad overpaid. just a tad, but he was the 2nd best player on our "title team" of 2002.
What about Bibby?what about bibby
Just a tad huh? 2nd best player over Divac and Peja????
Retiring Bibby's jersey would make a mockery of the whole thing. Please, just no.
But he's still not at the level of a guy where you retire his number.
As an aside, assuming these current sporting leagues are permanent fixtures now, does make you wonder a bit what they are going to do in a hundred years or so about retired numbers. Is everybody just going to be wearing numbers in the hundreds then? Or so they start "unretiring" some of the old timers?
They could also move over to a number system with a higher base, like hexadecimal notation.
Wha?I think after Vlade and Webber,3rd in a row would be Peja, because he scored most points in the franchise, but that would be stupid.Just Vlade and Webb is enough and deserved.

It's not really about having enough numbers. It's about not watering down the meaning of jersey retirement.
Bibby was an integral part of the team from 2001-2004 when they had their chance. But that was only part of the era. When Webber, Divac and Adelman arrived in 1999, that's when it really started (I'd retire Adelman's number too if he had one). Bibby didn't bring a new attitude to the team. He didn't bring new excitement. He didn't define the team. He wasn't the face of the team. He played well for them and was very important in the 2002 playoff run, that's about it.
Retiring Divac's and Webber's jerseys isn't about honoring the 2002 playoffs. It's about honoring what those guys did specifically, and about what the team that played from 1999 to 2004 brought to Sacramento. Bibby doesn't have enough in either category.
Wha?
No he hasn't. Stojakovic hasn't scored the most points in franchise history; and even if you only count the Sacramento-era franchise history, he's a distant second.
Richmond.Anyhow, who is the best scorer in Sacramento era?
