Gregorius said:Then do some sort of trade involving Corliss and Thomas and spare parts to get Tyson Chandler from the Bulls. I think he is a free agent this summer so maybe some kind of sign and trade. Chandler gets 3 blocks per 48 minutes (Imagine him and Skinner in) and 16.3 rebounds per 48.
Elektrik said:Bingo! Tyson Chandler is the answer. 7'2" of lean mean athleticism who has improved by literally leaps and bounds this year. He is a rebounding nightmare for anybody playing him. Add AK47 to the mix and there's your NBA championship. Oh and while we're at it add Flip Saunders as your coach.
...I can dream can't I....
I completely agree - I like him and yet he seems to be all about Cat and not as much of a team player as I would like.hoops4kings said:I'm still not completely sold on Cat. I think his passing skills are suspect. He always seems to give up the rock a day late and a dollar short, especially on breakaway situations. He does make some big shots, but most of the time he's not looking for a better option when he goes one on one. I don't know how many times I've seen Cat with the ball and someone wide open that he fails to see because he's trying to create his own shot. I dunno. Maybe he just needs to get more comfortable in the offense.
I'm still on the fence with him. If his passing improves then I could be sold. I just see a lot of dumb turnovers and some really tougher than they should be shots coming from the Cat. We shall see.
Old #11 said:Maybe I misread his style/swagger, but it doesn't seem to me that he wants to be in Sacramento. In any event I don't think he plays Sacto style ball. I've felt that way ever since he came here. How long can you go not really contributing until the 4th quarter. That has to have an effect on the rest of the team. Come on, these guys are professional and getting paid lots of money. If you can score in the 4th quarter, why can't you score in the other three. Oh yea, because you make a feable effort to play "team" ball for 3 qtrs. and then you give up and just jack up shots.

And if either of the kids don't take off we won't be any worse off than we are nowBricklayer said:Thing is though, that most of those guys are probably just going to be signed to max extensions at some point this summer (Gooden/Nene aside).
Speaking of Nene -- much as I have said he is overrated, indeed still believe he is -- and as much as I find his name thing to be ridiculous low class wannabe, I have seen some things out of him this year that have impressed me -- might have the skill level to make some noise in our system, along with a postgame and (this year finally) some rebounding.
In fact if we did nothing more dramatic this offseason with that PF spot than found a way to get Nene, and maybe spent the exception on Kwame Brown -- two young, multitalented 6'11" guys at PF who have yet to blossom, I would be pretty excited. Let it be an open audition between two young guys with potential upside. No guarantees, but it would restore size, youth, athleticism, hope and potential at the position. And if either kid took off, we'd be smelling like roses.
Mobley and Corliss for Artest would never happen and one of the reasons is that salaries don't match.Entity said:i know Bosh is a stretch but Mobley and Corlis for Artest would answer our prayers and Indianas. I am sure they are ready to see him go and will miller going out Mobley would step right in and Corlis could be that Backup for Oneal and Jackson. We do have adress the PF position bigtime. But moreso we can't go another season with Mobley and Peja together. I vote out Moelbey because Peja can be something when he wants to be. Not to Mention Artest doesn't lose us any offense in fact he is about the same and gains in reb. I am sure he can pass better than the cat.
No matter how much of a homer anybody is. they have to see that either the 2,3, or 4 has to go, maybe even 2 of them. Free Agents are going to be hard to get with our cap space. So trading is the way to go. So for all you ppl wanting Swift and whoever that are free agents give it up we don't have money to spend. Unless they want the MLE.
