Anybody here have a subscription to www.sportskacentrala.com ? There is an article from yesterday title "Webber for SC: "Pedja and I made and agreement" ".

If someone has it and could translate it, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

that would get one into trouble

Why? I may be wrong, but I don't believe that website has copywritten material.

I think piksi was referring more to the contents of the interview and contraversy that it might bring :)

I don't know about their copyrights policies, but I have seen plenty of Serbian media take sac bee articles/inteviews and translate them verbatim.

We post articles from US publications and websites that we don't agree with and question. There's no reason IMHO to assume we're all going to go insane because of an article on a Serbian site...

If its' based in fact, fine. If, however, it's based on speculation, misquotes, taking things out of context, or other errors, I'm sure it will receive the consideration we feel it merits - much like Marc Stein or Chad Ford. ;)

It is a Webber interwiev. They publish this exclusive. They "do not" like when it shows up somewhere else. It will pop up in the Serbian press in the next days - then there will be no problem to translate it . Untill then...

An exclusive interview with Chris Webber for sportskacentrala? I don't think so...

Okay, here's what I found at sportskacentrala. If someone could translate it, it would be greatly appreciated:

Veber za SC: „Peđa i ja smo se dogovorili“
06.01.05. 10:15

Od akreditovanog izveštača Sportske centrale iz Njujorka

Poslednjih pet sezona Sakramento Kingsa mnogo liče jedna na drugu. Odlične igre tokom većeg dela regularne sezone; Bobi Džekson, lucidni „džoker“ trenera Rika Adelmana povređen i van terena za dugi vremenski period; odana armija navijača u Arko areni; posebna atmosfera u svlačionici...

Pripremili: Đorđe Stanković i Nebojša Petrovački

OKay, here's the translation of the teaser that ran on the non-pay part of sportskacentrala:

"Last five seasons all look alike for the Sacramento Kings - great regular season play ; super-sub Bobby Jackson injured and will miss substantial time ; loyal fans in Arco Arena ; good lockerroom atmosphere...

For the last few months, everything - barring those three defeats in Texas at the beginning of the season, absence of Vlade Divac and some unexpected losses at home court - was "business as usual" since the Maloofs took over the team from the capital of California.

The only thing which stuck out like a sore thumb in this picturesque situation is the media-overblown tension between the team's two best players - ace forward Chris Webber and our (as in, "serbian", trans.note) long range bomber Pedja Stojakovic. Since Kings are pretty popular in Serbia, SportskaCentrala staff prepared an exclusive interview with "C-Webb".

Interesting, I believe, to note that they refer to the whole thing between Webb and Pedja as "media-overblown tension."

;)

It is an introduction to a "pay per read" interwiev with CW. Sportskacentrala has several corespondents in US just for NBA (Serbs players and teams)
