Webber with another great game tonight: 8/12, 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.
He's shooting just under %60 from the floor as a Piston. He's getting wide open shots because of all the attention paid to our guards, and it's really starting to click. Webber is knocking down open shots with regularity.
Antonio McDyess made his first 8 shots tonight, mainly because webber kept getting him open jumpers and layups. All 5 starters shot over %50 as well.
Unlike the last couple of week, guys are starting to convert on webber's passes.
I'm really excited to see what he does against LA on thuersday.
Webber with a good game and the Pistons lost, hmmmm. Let's watch for a trend.

Kstat is referring to tonight's game, where the Pistons beat Boston. What game are you referring to?

Not to mention, we're 8-2 with Webber starting and the only two games he's played poorly in, we lost.

No that cannot be true because Webb is a losing cancer and washed up with nothing left to offer and will never be able to help any team win at any level, let alone a NBA contender. Furthermore our front office never makes mistakes and was absolutely right to trade him for Kenny Thomas and its 100% clear that you guys would be far better off with Kenny and his midget "defense" and "athleticism" than with hobbled old washed up Chris Webber right now. So get it right kid and quit feeding us these poisonous lies about Webb coming in and helping to revitalize your team with brains, passing and leadership. What kind of fools do you take us for?

If nothing else, you have to admire the consistency...Of course , Detroit's success has nothing to do with Chauncey's return to the lineup ?
If nothing else, you have to admire the consistency...
I do, I think it's funny... I have to give it up for sloter's steadfast refusal to give Webber any props; the Pistons could win the championship this year, Webber could be named Finals MVP, and sloter would still insist that he had nothing to do with it.Says who?

No offense to Webber.......
However, I for one will be glad when he retires so that recitation of his nightly stat line for whomever he happens to be playing for is no longer an issue.
Well I suspect that 12 pts and 7 boards a game will get you that prize, but at least you have faith...
It is amazing how Webber has been crowned the savior of Detroit Pistons on this board, even though Detroit's best player who's been in the system for several years just returned to the lineup (and Webber was average player on one of the worst teams in the league). You can choose to believe whatever you want, but I will go with one event which seems a lot more probable to me. This is plain common sense now.
Also, take a look at the schedule that the Pistons had during this "hot stretch".
Whatever...
The players is Detroit are pretty happy with Webber. Your opinion, therefore, would have to appear at least to be influenced by your ongoing hatred of everything about Webber. What I choose to believe is that Chris Webber is still finding a way to be productive and he's making the Pistons better with a combination of veteran savvy, the best passing hands by a big man in the game today and the heart of a warrior.
You'll find reasons to shoot it down but, quite frankly, that says a lot more about you than it does about Webber.
...plus Flip Saunders and Joe Dumars, and Detroit sportswriters, and fans on Piston fan sites, and national media, and...
I must say I like how the Pistons are using Webber.
He's not forcing anything and their offense looks a lot smoother with Webber in the game.
The funny thing is that people have been praising the acquisition precisely because the Pistons do not need Webber to be their "savior." All they need him to do is be a part of the whole, and he's doing that very well..Gosh darn, I looked thru the thread trying to find who declared Webber the "savior of the Pistons" and couldn't find it.![]()
As an aside, that behind the back bounce pass to Prince to open the second half was absolute vintage Webb. Change the uniforms and its Webb to Peja. Only a small handful of bigs in the history of the game who can do that for you. Walton, Arvydas, Vlade etc. And all of those guys were able to walk in and be major parts of contending teams late in their careers precisely because of thier unique ability to make others better.
