We need a backup Center and PG

How about we just trade for the 3rd Overall Pick and take Tyrus Thomas?

We can give #19 overall + Francisco Garcia + KT or SAR (Would that ever work??)

Not worth it. TT might be good and all, but not to throw 3 players at, especially SAR. KT & Garcia maybe and maybe also our 19th pick if we are serious. That's still a ton of $ and many people on an unproven kid.

unloading KT would be worth it period. would do that in a heartbeat. KT plus our 19th and Cisco for the 3rd... but only if we were guarenteed TT or LA

Claxton's going to command the MLE, and has been talking an extension with the Hornets. I'd dig it if we got him, but not likely right now.

Mohammed's gonna command the MLE, and wouldn't be a back-up unless it's on a team like Miami/Dallas/maybe Detroit, etc..

Pryzbilla, unsure of what his value will be, been up in the air. But I doubt he's looking to become a back-up.

Better off looking at getting Elson or Cato or Kandi-man for back-up C. Solid and bring what we need, would command part of the MLE/LLE.

B-Jax? Sure, just not for a lot of money.

Banks? I'd love to see us get him.

Now, outside of FA there's Chris Duhon and Charlie Bell and Tyronn Lue. Who are definitely attainable and bring exactly what we need as well at back-up PG. Though Banks/Duhon could conflict with Price. Bigs we'd be going after in trades would be starters most likely; Gadzuric (depends who's here)/Magloire/Chandler/Griffin (can go either way).

I agree, they could be just as effective and would come at a nice price. But if we could land Joel that would be sweet.

Why not we give up KT,Vitaly,Hart or Price for Charlie Bell and Jamal Magloire. We can even throw in our 19th pick with that....we need a championship now not 3 - 4 years from now.

Why not indeed...unless of course you happen to be the Bucks. Why would they take our random garbage for their starting center and breakout PG? Takes two to tango.

lol, so true. The Bucks would have nothing to gain and everthing to lose with this trade.

Charlie Bell there breakout pg??? Ok then we will take TJ ford

Well, Bell did break-out after a short rookie stint in the NBA and going overseas. Proving to be a good guard who plays on both ends well.

They'll get rid of Williams even though I think he's the best one of the three IMHO. They'll keep Bell over Williams cause Williams only has one year left on his deal, and I don't think they want to pay a decent amount of money on a backup PG. I also saw on some website that they were looking to move Williams although I can't recall what one.

They'll keep Bell likely because of his defense, and ability to score, has quite a cheapie contract. Ford's the youngster, Mo seems the most to go. I'd definitely take him, I think he has the tools to be a better defender also.

Joe Maloof was on 100.5 this morning and he reiterated what Petrie is looking for:

A backup point guard
A big man in the middle who can at least block shots and play D
They are definitely making a pitch for Bonzi to be in a Kings uni next season.

Yes they could. Ford is their starter, Bell is their backup point, Williams backs up the sg spot and the sf spot and sometimes the pg spot too.

More like

1 won't happen because he played great for them.
2 won't happen because it looks like they are trading Magloire and Dan Gadzuric is going to start at pf or backup Bogut. So welcome Magloire and hopefully good bye brad.
3. Welcome back Bonzi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Concerning centers:
I'd really like to see Potapenko get his chance at some playing time. Sampson as well. We've never seen them play so its hard to judge their worth to the team.

Concerning point guards:
I'm concerned.

I heard the Raptors are trying to pick up Magloire and Mo Williams for either MoPete and the #1 or MoPete and Charlie Villanueva. Don't know if that would happen but it's better than anything we could give them I think.

Supposedly the Bucks want to move Mo Williams because of Charlie Bell's versatility and break-out this season. They have 3 good guards at PG, gonna have to move one of them. Won't be Ford, probably not on Bell, I'd say Mo gets traded. As if you keep one of Bell/Mo, they'll be wasting away on the bench.

From what i have seen Mo Williams and Bell are not real starters. Mo has had great games at times in the starting line up, even scoring 35 in a game once but after that i didn't see anything warrent him to start. And i want to see Bell play well one for full season before saying he is a starter.

There is no way raptors are going to do this. Villanueva is part of there future and they have been hyping Villanueva/Bosh pairing for a long time now. MoPete could go in the right trade but i don't see him going any where too because he is a great outside shooter and that could come in hande when Bosh, Villanueva, and maybe Aldrigde get doubled down low.

We could give them Brad for magloire, Brad would do great for them. He would not get in the way of Bogut when he is posting down low like magloire. Brad is a great perimeter player for them when Bogut does get doubled in the post. And Bogut could cover Brads def mistakes.

For us Magloire would provide us with a great defender and rebounder. But i don't know about his shot blocking abitily and he may interfer with sar, bonzi, and artest when they post up down low.

I don't think the Bucks would be interested in Miller. They are looking to add athleticism to their lineup and someone who covers Boguts weaknesses on defense and the boards. If you're looking for an athletic power forward, I would think Brad Miller would be at the very bottom of your list.
