I Like Brooke Lopez here. He has the size, tenacity, and smarts to be a long time fixture on the Kings front line, shoring up our most glaring weakness, post defense.
I may have my biases, but Brook Lopez is plenty athletic. The only questions I have about Brook are about his maturity.
Let's say #3 and Brad Miller dump to NJ for the #10-#11, #21, and Marcus Williams. Then Sac drafts Either Love or Randolph with the #10 and Robin Lopez with the #21?![]()

Well thats a big assumption that they will give us Marcus Williams. I say give them KT and Douby for Stromile Swift with the same pick exchange, draft Randolph at the 10 and get Westbrook or Collison with the 21. Or hope Augustine or Bayless falls.
"Defensively he would be a tremendous help, he's a great shot blocker."
I think "great" is a stretch, he is a good shot blocker, made better knowing he could take chances with Robin standing behind him. Besides, Robin averaged 2.3 to Brook's 2.1.
This isn't to say I couldn't work the same way with Hawes playing along side with him, but I doubt we would see the production at the NBA level.
I would still rather see a power player next to Hawes. I don't think Brook Lopez fits the bill.
