Voisin: Peja eager to restore Kings rep

Another good article by Voisin.

The pieces to the Kings’ front office puzzle are being added incrementally, but it comes as no surprise that Stojakovic is back in the mix at 38, or that he agreed to start on the ground level. His new gig is not glamorous; he has always been humble.

I cannot help but continue to be encouraged by all the moves Vlade has made thus far. It's a good time to be a Kings fan.

Good (and basic) article, but I find it quite hilarious when she said that Peja's new gig is not "glamorous." His job (this one) would make 99% of the population jealous. She makes it seem like he has to clean the court every day and mop the sweat off of the floor... jeez. My job wouldn't be fit for a peasant than on her scale!

Yes, but 99% of the population doesn't have Peja's rippling muscles.

I think what she was implying was that for the most part, what Peja will be doing, will be behind the scene. Sitting up in Reno watching the team play isn't the most glamorous job in the world. In other words, for the most part, Peja won't be in the spotlight like Vlade or Karl will. I don't think she was implying that it wasn't an important job, or that Peja wasn't appreciative of the job.

With Vlade's, Peja's, Butler's and Cuz's attitudes and presences (we are the Kings and we're going to be back soon to the place where we're going to kick butts), Karl is going to have to change to adopt this same attitude and then we'll really be a "TEAM".

Go KINGS!!!!

Lousy article. The qualification for a journalist seems to be to say nothing over several paragraphs. I'd really like to know some specifics, some details, some substance, some reality on how Peja evaluates players, and for that matter, what his qualifications are for the job. Other than his fan base and his friendship with Vlade and his excellent shooting, what makes him better than all the other potential candidates that were out there?

You really just need to be able to pick out the important pieces. For instance, Peja and his family are settling into their new home in Carmichael. I, too, live in Carmichael......... or, you know, the whole unfinished business, let's recapture the magic and get it done this time vision that positively oozes out of it. I think you may be missing the entire point of what Vlade is putting together if you really wanted an article about Peja's qualifications and what makes him better than other candidates

It's not like Ailene was going to be able to publish Peja's resume along with those of other candidates for the same position.

You're lucky you didn't get:

"It was a sunny day at the little outdoor cafe just a few blocks down from where the skeleton of the Golden One Center was rapidly taking shape. Down the street I could hear the distant rumble of the trucks and cranes as beam by beam the Kings new home stretched toward the vibrant blue late summer sky. A tall dark man, not quite a stranger, not quite a friend, stood up from the bistro table as I approached, his broad boyish grin peeking out of the handsome stubble, still barely touched by grey. A slight ripple beneath his immaculate, hand tailored, Euro-cut suit as he pulled out my chair for me told me that this was a man who still kept himself in exquisite shape. My knees buckled slightly as for a moment I thought he would bend down to greet me in the European style, with a polite peck on each cheek, but instead he merely grinned again and nodded slightly as he retreated toward his own chair. As he sat, his long, athletic legs stretched out away from the small table, I saw him shift ever so slightly, flexing his hard gluteus muscles against..."

I couldn't quite bring myself to "like" this post, so I had to quote it and say:

Brick, you are on your game, big time.

At least it's better than the "nothing" we get from Jason Jones !!
