I would go after Bradley Beal or Evan Fournier. Courtney Lee would also be another option. What do you guys think?

This is a tough question to answer because it depends on another decisions we have to make. Will we resign Rondo and how much cap space will we have left? Will we build around Rondo-Gay-Cousins? If yes, I would prefer a defender that can still be effective when he does not get a lot of shots in the game but can also make an open 3 cinsistently, so basicaly Courtney Lee.
Starting 5: Rondo-Lee-Gay-Wcs-Cuz

Now, if we trade Gay for a wing defender like PJ Tucker suddenly the whole dynamic changes. We would probably need more offense from our SG but we would also have more cap space so we could try to sign Bazemore or Fournier.

I think Beal is going go to get matched by the Wiz no matter what. Even if he doesn't, I don't think he picks the Kings for FA unless he really likes DeMarcus..

Fournier can be a top 10 SG in the NBA imo. I'd be all for him, but I think the Magic would match any offer for him. They traded Tobais Harris so that Fournier can play SF.

I'm a bit skeptical on Lee... why would the Grizz trade their best shooter for almost nothing? He's going to be 31 before the start of next season, and I think he might be trending downwards. I'm not sure how much I'm willing to give him. Affalo had a huge drop off within a span of 1 year. Not sure that I'd be willing to pay Lee.

I'm scared to see how much Lee wants. The Grizz basically gave him away for PJ Hairston and 2nd rounders. He and Roberson are the worst starters this season...
Keep in mind that he'll be turning 31 too.


A lot of our FA is going to be around how much Rondo will command. If he asks for too much, we're looking at Gerald Henderson or OJ Mayo. I think the best addition would be Gerald Henderson. Henderson is a poor shooter so that will affect our floor spacing with Rondo. I have a feeling that his defense has dropped off a bit this year too.


The ultimate player we should go after is Kent Bazemore. He's just entering his prime and has an all around 3&D game. I just don't think we'll be able to get him if we decide to go after Rondo.

Kent is the one I want he's got the bulldog attitude this team needs plus athletic ability and skills to back it up.
