Yeah, how do I play Mafia Wars on Twitter? :p

I somehow resisted the urge to join Twitter early on and have stubbornly clung to this resistance.

I'm having a great time following the tweets of our guys, like JT, Donte, Jon Brockman...

Our guys are crazy fun.

I guess when I think of Twitter and Facebook and all those similar sites, I flash forward to those scenes from "Wall-E" where the people aboard the spaceship talk to one another through their video screens, even though that person is sitting right next to them.

Then again, perhaps I'm just turning into a dinosaur before my time

Back the '70's (when I was a youngun), we used to say "Keep On Truckin'" - I guess today's equivalent is "Keep On Tweetin'"

I don't get any of it. Is it uncool to do your social networking face to face these days?

I would like to talk to my friends face to face, but most of them live in SoCal.
Because of Facebook, we have had a few mini-reunions of old high school friends. It's been great! About 100 of us met up for our high school homecoming game last month...I flew from Sacto. and we others come in from Texas, Idaho and wherever else. It's fun to see photos of everyone's kids and grandchildren too! Heck...even my mom's on Facebook!!

I use Facebook heavily and have reconnected with people I never thought I'd hear from again but it is most certainly the devil.

One of the things that keeps me from Twitter is the broken English. I can hide Mafia Wars and every other annoying ap (most by the same company) in Facebook, but the character limit on Twitter reinforces the use of bad grammar and shorthand type.

I'm on Facebook, but find it generally annoying. Designed for people with attention deficit disorder, seemingly. I only use it to keep in touch with family and a few friends.

I don't text, as I find it much better communication to just call someone or even e-mail them with a purpose driven message. I can't imagine anyone wants to read my random thoughts any more than I want to read most other people's.

I, too, decry what's happening to people's ability to write clearly and cogently with good grammer and sentence/paragraph construction. Even in when I was in college, thirty years ago, writing skills were going downhill. Twitter, texting and such is expediting the decline, IMHO.

So, I'm a dinosaur, too. :p

Believe it or not, young'uns, live was quite comfortably lived without Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and cell phones. Actually, it was much more peaceful and uncluttered.

I will admit to a cell phone, although I rarely use it. Its for emergencies and family. I held out for a long time, but working and driving lonf distances in rural areas made me get one for safety and peace of mind. Its pretty old and does not take pics. *gasp* ;)

Awesome, I'm following all of you.

I'm with Slim. I miss the days when you couldn't be reached for a few hours and no one would freak out.

I have to follow all these trends for marketing purposes.
