Super Mario Bros. 3 (1990) - NES
Classic. Prefer this to the original, even though the original is obviously a classic as well. Never get sick of this game.

What is there to say? Climb and destroy buildings, eat people and their stuff... just destroy destroy destroy and a giant ape, giant lizard, or giant werewolf. This is my favorite game as a kid and I still enjoy it now.
Ooops, sorry about the delay... long day at the zoo;

Jespher selects:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (PC)
Mario seems to be this round's Zelda with titles from the SMB series flying off the board.
So I'm going to join the fad and snag one of the better platform adventures ever made.

Super Mario World - 1991 - SNES
Like the orginal Super Mario Brothers was my introduction to the NES a half decade earlier, Super Mario World opened up my eyes to the awesome Super Nintendo.
The areas had less variety than the worlds of SMB 3, but the different paths you could take and the overall completion score increased the replay value of SMW over its predecessors.
Oh, and Yoshi just might be the greatest power-up in the history of gaming.
Just putting that out there![]()
