Just a note: SacKings7 is going to be away until Fri/Sat of this week, so I wil be filling in for him I guess. I tried to warn him that commisioners aren't allowed to take vacations, but he seemed pretty adamant, so I guess we're just going to have to dismember him when he gets back.

In any case, he sent me his next pick along with the keys, and says if he is not back before he is up a second time, we should just skip over him until he returns.
You're/he is up. I sent him a pm by accident. I'll send one to you, although I doubt it is necessary.

For his #6 pick, SacKings7 goes with one of the all time rock and roll classics:

Satisfaction -- The Rolling Stones -- Out of Our Heads (1965)

My next pick is a song I love that I couldn't have taken in the album draft, because it was never officially released on a studio album, and the one live album it was released on that would have qualified, I didn't really like after listening to it a few times (of course, I'm not a big fan of live albums in general, but that's neither here nor there). So, going back to my earlier theme of dance hits, with my sixth pick, I select:

[yt=September]nfLEc09tTjI[/yt]

September - Earth, Wind & Fire - 1978

Hmm...in this draft of all the drafts I just need more picks. And more every round too. There's a dozen at least I want to nab all at once.

Anyway:

With Or Without You -- U2 -- Joshua Tree (1987)

A made a last second change here, but just could not let this one slide any longer. Such a beautiful song, and I'm tickled pink to have managed to nab maybe the two best rock songs (Sweet Child O' Mine) of their era in this draft. Now just so long as nobody nabs my other pick (which was a sleeper) I'll go to bed happy.

As you would say, SONS A BITCHES. Actually the only reason I let it slip this far is because I have a suitable alternative. Great song though.

Continuing with my rage mood here is my next pick

More Human than Human-White Zombie-Astro Creep: 2000

Hey hey! A song I actually knew without having to resort to the youtube. :p

Good song.

P.S. they have blocked embedding on that one, so might want to put the link below it (when the black screen with comes up when you click it its because whoever posted it over at youtube checked an option that does not allow embedding -- if you include a link though it will still work as normal.

Ok, no need to dither on this one:

[yt=Fortunate Son -- Clearance Clearwater Revival]ec0XKhAHR5I[/yt]

Fortunate Son - Clearance Clearwater Revival - Willy and the Poor Boys (1969)

Long before it began to experience a second life in commericals, guitar hero games and whatnot, this was my favorite song from a band that produced a lot of great ones. Almost too short to take onto an island for life, but its precisely that breakneck pace that gives it its classic kick. Almost a punkish take on bayou roots rock.

Time for another changeup; a favorite song of mine from my middle school days:

[yt=Feels So Good]TQ1RkrQFJeA[/yt]

Feels So Good - Chuck Mangione - 1978

Okay, this would normally be SacKings7's spot, but he only sent me the one pick (Satisfaction) and said that if he came back up, we should just skip him until he returned. So I am going to follow those instructions and just PM the next person in line. SacKings said he would be back Friday or Saturday, so this might be the only time he gets skipped.

I am seriously deliberating over this pick. I am going to grab this one because I really need it. Clearly, I cannot have a whole Pink Floyd album on my playlist but nothing is stopping me from having half of one.

Echoes - Pink Floyd - Meddle

One of the guitar parts is inspired by Good Vibrations, can you tell? I am stoked to get a half an album with one pick, this will seriously add to the length of my playlist coming in at 23:30.

For the Dark Side/Wizzard folks (I have watched it BTW), I included the video clip of the song linked to a segment of 2001: A Space Odyssey. This is only part 1, I assume you can follow the path to the others if you like.

Im not up am I?? I never got a message....o I didn't see Kingzrools post...i'll go ahead and post, give me a minute to think.
And that, my friends, is the reason you still need to check into your draft threads even if you don't get (or accidentally delete, like I have in the past) a PM! :)
