Trade Scenario: Bogut and Harrison Barnes for the 6th pick

GameHHH

Prospect
Would you guys do it? The Kings get 2 good starters. Barnes is young and can still improve. The Warriors shed salary and can draft WCS.

Somehow I don't see the Warriors breaking up their title team to go chasing lottery pick rainbows.

It depends on Kevin Durant. If he informs Curry or another Warriors player that he is willing to sign in 2016 then they would do it. Lee expires after next season so they would have cap space to give Durant the max even if they re-sign Green to the max.

Curry
Klay
Durant
Green
WCS

WCS is the perfect fit for the Warriors scheme.

Collison
Gay
Barnes
Cousins
Bogut

Enough offense with a major upgrade defensively. The Kings can't stay in lottery purgatory forever. Vievek's relationship with the Warriors can facilitate this deal.

Lol hell yes I would do it. W's would never though

Kerr has said that he wants to build a dynasty. The Warriors got lucky with OKC and the Cavs injuries. The Cavs will beat OKC in the finals next year IMO. The Warriors won't be able to defeat a healthy OKC team. I just think that WCS is a perfect scheme fit for the Warriors.

hell no. Bogut hasn't shown up in the finals, is owed 12 million dollars for the next two years, and he's 31. So basically you're trading the 6th pick for Barnes. And I'm not too sure that's worth it either. BTW, i think we may need to send some salary back.

Bogut made 2nd team all defense. It's not like he is useless. I really think the Kings could make some noise with:

Collison
Gay
Barnes
Cousins
Bogut

Barnes for #6 isn't totally out of the question. Even with the cap going up, Warriors are going to have cut ties with SOMEBODY from their core. You just can't afford huge deals to 5 different guys on their team and I think they move forward with Curry/Klay/Draymond as their long-term core pieces.

But we easily forget that Bogut is very injury prone. I wouldn't want to take a risk for a 31yr old center with injury prone. He's going to be lucky if he plays 40 games next year IMO. If they take back Landry and Thompson, then I would do that trade for Bogut and Barnes.

Barnes is overrated. Game 3 he was 0-8 and 3 reb? What a joke. I would rather just pick WCS so Cuz can move to his position he would rather play , PF. Or another top player may fall to us at #6 since a couple players look like will be moving up according to new media articles out.

Plus there are trades and FA deals, so this summer we may see a much improved team. Let hope so anyway!

I think Bogut next to Cuz would be bad on offense. He doesn't have any type of jumper compared to JT who can at least hit 15ft shots.

If we get Barnes, he needs to absolutely start..that means Ben is out. Barnes isn't very good. He's what Ben can be next year.

Injuries, the one thing you cannot predict. The W's have been very healthy so far this year. OKC lost their main guys early and the Cavs were healthy except for Varejo until Love got hurt in the Playoffs. Now the Cavs have lost Irving to.

Who knows about next season. Those players have to recover and OKC is starting over with a new coach. The Kerr Phenomenon has given Owners and GM's the Moxie to fire pretty good Coaches. See Thibs, Brooks and the Kings own Mike Malone.

As for giving up WCS, no freaking way!:) The Kings are picking WCS and teaming him with DMC so they can crush teams in the paint for the next TEN YEARS:D

You are dramatically DRAMATICALLY underestimating Andrew Bogut. I personally think he might have been the real DPOY this year.

His Finals disappearance has been odd.

Would I trade the sixth pick in the draft for Barnes and Bogut. Duh? Of course. And in a cocaine infested state, I might actually believe something that absurd could happen. But I'm not on drugs, Ummm, well not those kind, so my somewhat rational mind wonders what world your living on? No explainable reason the Warriors would make such a trade. They're competing for a championship, so I doubt their first interrest is in destroying that team. Plus, there's a small issue of matching salaries. We would have to throw a bunch of salary back at them, and I doubt they want Landry, or JT, or both. Trades do have to make some sort of sense

why would the Warriors do that though? they will be hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy in the next week or so.
