Trade needed to break up logjam (split)

Sure, but Landry at GS was also more effective (60%) close to the hoop than Cousins last season (55%). But I agree that both have improved since their last pairing, and if you look at their charts there can be ways to use them together if the staff gets creative.

Cousins 13-14

Landry 12-13

Sure, you can get creative on one end, but then you still have a worthless undersized cow patty at the other end, which is the larger issue.

Anyway, still not over the stupidity of that signing, nor the suspicion it was mostly because po lil Mikey needed a safety blankie. SMH.

In any case, I don't care. He's here, we are probably stuck with him. And as long as we have DeMarcus Cousins I don't want to see that blackhole out there next to the big guy. Have plenty of options who won't get in the way. Now when Boogie goes out though, that's when having a thing like Landry can be an advantage. You can give those interior touches to him instead and pick up 6 quick points here and there and keep the bench offense from stalling out.

I literally just spent over an hour playing with trade machine trying to find a JT trade that makes sense for both teams and can't come up with anything. Now obviously we're not privileged to the information a GM would be but goodness greatcios it's going to be difficult to deal JT. As I mentioned in an earlier post might as well pencil him in as reserve 5.

Keep Acy , Moreland , Evans . Trade Outlaw , JT , Landry , Williams .....and please go get someone else like Josh smith & Rondo ...or even grab eric bledsoe ....but this current unfinished roster stinks... but i still love my kings ....rip pizza guy :)
Was there an accident or something I'm not aware of? Was IT on MH17?

The big problem I have with Landry being the scoring weapon off the bench is that he occupies the same space on the floor as Cousins. If you bring him in for Cousins, that is not a huge problem. It gives you a full 48 minutes of scoring threat down low. But you can't bring in Landry and play him with Cousins at the end of games to give your offense a new look.

You don't play Landry with Cousins. You play him in the second unit with Moreland, who, hopefully will make up for some of Landry's weakness on defense, while at the same time Landry makes up for Moreland's weakness on offense.

A player I think the Kings FO will have some trade interest in if they can't get Josh Smith or Rajon Rondo is Golden State's David Lee. JaVale McGee may be another possibility if they don't get JSmoove.

Why the Kings do it? David Lee is a tough rebounder and can score inside with the best of the PF's, but he is not much of a defensive shot blocker. He would take some of the inside scoring load off of DMC and can hit the mid-range shot. He would come relatively cheaply, because the GSW are trying to shed salary, if they can't get Kevin Love, so they can re-sign Klay Thompson next off season. I think that GSW may be open to taking back Carl Landry (or Jason Thompson) plus expiring contracts DWill and JTerry for David Lee. David Lee has just two years left on his contract, compared to 3 years for Landry or JT and that opens the door for Moreland to step in the starting lineup in a couple of years.

Why the Warriors do it? They have been trying to shed David Lee's massive contract the past two seasons. GSW has also missed Landry since they lost him in free agency last year and a lot of people believe they missed his presence in the locker room on that team. By moving David Lee's 15million off the books, they clear the way for them to re-sign Klay Thompson to a near max deal next off season. Landry gives them inside scoring and he was good for team chemistry. Dwill still has some upside and is ending and JTerry is an ending contract and may be of some use on a playoff contender team.

Kings new line up:

PF David Lee/ Eric Moreland/ Evans
SF Gay / Casspi/ Acy
C DMC / JT
SG Stauskas / McClemore
PG Collison / Ray Mac

Don't think Lee provides anything close to what the Kings need at that cost.

I would be very unhappy if the Kings traded for David Lee.

i can only imagine it's because there is familiarity between coach and player. not sure what we have that would interest the warriors. if he's available.. it means he's another low hanging fruit the gerbil can get at.
