So I know I asked this at the end of December, but what is everyones updated Top 5-10? For me:

1 - Griffin
2 - Rubio
3 - Monroe
4 - Harden
5 - Jennings
6 - Teague
7 - Derozan
8 - Thabeet
9 - Mullens
10 - Hill

This will change a lot between now and the end of the tourney in particular, but this is my rough estimate.

I hated that top 10, the only spots that were right were the 1 and the 8

Here's my list..top dudes
1. Griffin
2. Al- Faruq- Aminu
2. Greg Monroe
3. Djuan Blair
4.Austin Daye
5. Derozen
6.Jeff Teauge
7. Harden
8. Thabeet
8. Earl clark
9 Mullens
10.Hill
11.Jennings
12.Curry
13. rubio(over hyped, healthy buyout, not strong enough to make an impact immediately)

Well, here's how I think the top 10 will end up going when it's all said and done:

1. Griffin
2. Teague
3. Monroe
4. Harden
5. Thabeet
6. DeRozan
7. Hill
8. Jennings
9. Mullens
10. Curry

(don't think Rubio, Holiday or Aminu will end up declaring)

Here's my own personal top 10 wish list for the Kings:

1. Blake Griffin
2. Jeff Teague
3. Hasheem Thabeet
4. Craig Brackins
5. B.J. Mullens
6. Darren Collison
7. Greg Monroe
8. Jonny Flynn
9. DeJuan Summers
10. Taj Gibson

Flip Teague and Griffin if Griffin is less than 6'9". Haven't seen Brandon Jennings or Patrick Mills, but I've seen everyone else projected to go First Round.

Actually his number 3 was right too, unless its a new rule this year that the number 2 team gets two picks in the draft.

I actually came back to this after reading someone else's post, but for hating my ten (which is fine) our rankings were nearly identical (7 of players were within on spot of where I had them or the same one) and the only big differences were Aminu and Blair higher and Rubio and Jennings lower.

I'm going off DX's list (except I'm adding DeRozan since I think he'll declare) because they're the best at predicting who will be in the draft.

Top 10 for the Kings.

1.) Greg Monroe
2.) Blake Griffin
3.) Jrue Holiday
4.) DeMar DeRozan
5.) Brandon Jennings
6.) James Harden
7.) Jeff Teague
8.) B.J. Mullens
9.) Hasheem Thabeet
10.)Patrick Patterson

This is so depressing.

Interesting, why Monroe over Griffin?

Better scorer, creator, and has a much higher IQ. Griffin will be the better rebounder, but in all other areas I think it's more likely Monroe will have him beat out.

Having seen Mills, he is unquestionably more talented than Collison.

What does everyone think about Jodie Meeks??

Dude can score and he's leading Kentucky back to contention, but I think that seems to be all he can do.

???

Well, I wouldn't say contention, Kentucky looked pretty bad last night. Meeks is a really gifted scorer pulling up off the dribble, a really good guy, works his butt off on defense. Unfortunately he's 6'4" and not terribly athletic. Regardless of how hard he tries on defense he's going to be a liability on defense in the NBA because of his physical limitations. Guys just shoot over him. I can see him as an Anthony Morrow type in the NBA, but because of his lack of size and explosiveness I don't see him as a special scorer.

Just for the hell of it, here's my current top ten.

1. Griffin
2. Monroe
3. Harden
4. Hill
5. Summers
6. Jennings
7. Daye
8. Teague
9. Thabeet
10. Mullens

I have Thabeet and Mullens there on potential, and because bigs are hard to come by. For this very reason I've left off Holliday and DeRozen. Because 2's and 3's aren't hard to come by. I left off Rubio, because I'm not sure he'll declare.

I love Mills, but the top ten is a little high. Could be in five years from now in a revised version he could be top five. I left off Henderson because he's from Duke, which seems to have a curse around it when it comes to draft picks.

Interesting you have Summers before a lot of high upside guys. I like Summers, but he doesn't really have a skill that stands out, just solid-ok around the board.

I'm watching the St. Mary's game on Thursday, so I'll let you know if I agree. ;)

He has better quicks and he can really pass, especially in fast break situations. His shot is also more fundamentally sound, which I like very much.

1. Teague
2. Monroe
3. Hill
4. Mills

(I haven't seen Rubio or Jennings on live tv)

After that, just trade the pick for more picks in the middle of the first round for some athletic, raw players.

Just going on my gut with this guy. If he ever develops a midrange game, which shouldn't be hard, then I think he's got a chance to be really good. He's certainly got an NBA body and he's pretty athletic. I guess I just starting to get tired of these 6'9", 190 pound prospects.

As I stated earlier, I really like Mills. He has a toughness about him that in my mind, separates him from some of the others. His shooting has fallen off a little of late, but nothing to worry about. I think if he were on a team where he didn't have to be the man every night, his pt guard skills would look even better.

Kings top Ten

1.Blake Griffin
2.Ricky Rubio
3.Jrue Holiday
4.Greg Monroe
5.Brandon Jennings
6.Darren Collison
7.Patrick Mills
8.Eric Maynor
9.Earl Clark
10.Austin Daye

I do also like Taj Gibson.....only hes 24years old. so with our 2nd round pick.

Petrie would really have to man-up to pick him in the top 5. I doubt any GM has the guts to pull the trigger on him that high because of size and school. All the more reason to get another #1 in that 8-15 area.

I couldn't agree more. I think he'll probably go somewhere between 10 and 15. Someone desperate for a point guard might reach a little higher.

My boy Mills broke his hand!

Patty Mills will miss approximately a month because of two fractured metacarpal bones in his right hand.
Mills sustained the injury when he tried to break his fall with 3:06 left in the first half during St. Mary's loss Thursday evening to Gonzaga.
