To Trade Cisco: What and why.

I'D TRADE GARCIA FOR A WASHING MACHINE!!!

get this joke off our team... he is SO injury prone what good is he to this team????

why couldn't we trade him while his value was as high as it was gonna get... hes a total bust in my eyes after this injury

I wouldnt call Garcia injury prone.

05-06 / 67 games ( didnt have a huge roll on the team anyways, I dont think this was injury related )

06-07 / 79 games

07-08 / 79 games

08-09 / 65 games

Last year was the first time he had missed a 'substantial' amount of time. But even then, he played in well over 50% of the games.

You want injury prone? look at Kmart.

Garcia had a fluke injury that is going to cost him a lot of time. The dude is not injury prone.

and how exaclty is he a joke?

... and a total bust because hes injured? your really making a bold statement there. Of course he cant live up to his contract if he isnt on the floor to produce.

Garcia is constantly hurt.... or hampered by some sort of lingering injury... sure he might suit up and play... but is he healthy? or effective?

By the way, I've seen Cisco go one on one with a washing machine, and he was clearly the superior player. As a matter of fact, he went one on two with a washer and a dryer and still ended up taking them to the CLEANER'S....

Let's see - 23rd pick in the draft whose numbers have gone up (although not precipitously) every year he's been in the leauge, despite crummy coaching? Yeah. Total bust. BTW, you tell me a major impact player that was drafted after he was in the 2005 draft.

I may be in the minority, but I think Garcia has the "intangibles" that are necessary as part of a winning team. Definitely a 6th man who will try to do what the coaches ask of him.

That's generally my impression of him. Not sure if he could be a championship 6th man just because, well, he's dumb. He could easily make the critical error to sink your title hopes. But I can easily see him as part of the rotation of an elite team. Has spirit, can shoot, versatile, and a willing bench player. The problem of course is that we aren't an elite team, or anywhere close to becoming one. And Cisco is no spring chicken, has a big loing term deal, and keeps inventing new ways to get hurt.

Garcia has heart, he has hustle and unfortunately he seems to have Arco luck...

I didn't like him at first because I thought he was prone to making a lot of dumb errors but over the years I've realized he is a warrior...and one I'm actually glad we have on our team. He may still frustrate the heck out of me at times, but I would certainly not agree with anyone who calls him a bust or has the kind of animosity towards him a couple of posters have shown...

Cisco has HEART and he's a definitive team player. We could have done a lot worse...

Cisco reminds me of Jon Barry somewhat. They didn't exactly play the same way, but Jon would always make the predictable drive into the lane and leave his feet, with no plan of where the ball was going. It was a bonehead play, that he never seemed able to correct. But, he was loved by all because of his tenacity and spirit. Cisco doesn't show the same emotion on the court, but he played the same way in the sense that he would always make the same predictable bonehead play.

If the good outweighs the bad, thats all we can ask. In Cisco's case, I think it does. :)
