He could become a what?

You do realize you are basically saying that he could become one of the maybe 10 or 20 best centers to ever play the game, right?

I am hoping for 15/7...with a couple of blocked shots. Would love to have more rebounds, but he does not seem to have the propensity for that.

That was kinda what I was wondering... in 2000-01, only Webber and Shaq averaged 25-10. In 2001-02, Shaq and Tim Duncan did. Since 2002, Dirk Nowitzki and Elton Brand each had one year which was close, but no cigar, and nobody else even got very close. So... I don't think I'm quite ready to lay those sort of expectations on our poor noob.

In my opinion, Spencer could become a very consistent 25/10 guy

He has a large veriety of post moves, great passing ability, and sees the floor, as SacTownKid mentioned, very well.

Also, I think we all saw the potential for his defensive game as well. Sooo, we'll see how he does ;)

Not a chance...the only player in the NBA today with career numbers like that is Shaquille O'Neal. That's it...not Duncan, not Garnett, not Brand, not Yao...just Shaq. Pardon me if I'm a little skeptical of Hawes becoming the next Shaq.

Even him becoming a consistent 20/10 guy is more than a bit of stretch.

Even that's an exaggeration...only Shaq, Wilt, Baylor, Pettit and Karl Malone have those types of numbers over their careers (Kareem is about a point off as well).

25-10 is an absolutely ridiculous stat.

Lee doesn't have athletic ability? You don't watch many Knicks games, do you; Lee is a great athlete.

I'm about to give up, but, here goes. Where and when did I say that Lee didn't have any athletic ability? I said that he wasn't as athletic as J. Williams. I personally would trade Williams, and all of our so called power forwards straight across for Lee. I know, now people will respond and say that it doesn't work under the salary cap. I'm somehow reminded of that old saying, can't see the forest because of the tree's. I should have brought my chainsaw.

If he starts doing that we'll have to rename him Spencer "Hakeem Olajuwon" Hawes.

Correcto

See ya in a couple years :D
Well, we can just hope he isnt the second coming of Les Jepsen in 2 years. Man, I hope we didnt waste a draft pick on a tall, skinny, unathletic white guy that was all hype...hey, he might be the white Sam Bowie, too...which isnt good, either.
