Thompson to start

Hmmmmm, Carril coming in and Thompson starting. I get the feeling Petrie might have sat down with Natt recently.

Coachie here AND Jason Thompson to start? I had no idea I could be this happy with Kings news that didn't involve a trade.

;)

Maybe you'll be excited to do PBP again...:) No more Mikki flubs easy pass from Beno - Kings turnover:mad: But instead more... Beno a nice pass to JT - with flying two-handed power dunk...
Arco crowd goes crazy!!:D

Well, it sounded better than "I made the decision because my reproductive organs are now sitting in a jar on Geoff's desk".

In other news, Geoff's reproductive organs have been discovered after a 7 year absence.

Well, maybe one out of two.

I seriously doubt if they considered your intelligence, piksi. :p

Everyone knows the real reason. This is just what they say to the media. Kind of like trading Webber for flexible pieces...

What difference does it make what excuse they use? The only thing that matters is that Jason will start. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

so what is te point of lying if everyone knows that it is a bogus story and that Kenny Something is clueless

I can't possibly explain things to your satisfaction but maybe my standards aren't the same.

I'm very happy with what's happened today. I didn't expect much of Kenny Natt anyway as it was pretty clear to me, at least, that he was merely a space holder. Bringing Coachie back speaks volumes, on the other hand, as he has always been a major force in working with kids and helping them to reach their potential.

I'm not interested in dumping on Kenny Natt for being picked to sit in the vacant coach's seat until they find a permanent replacement. I'm more interested in watching what seems to be pretty clear evidence that there's been a bit of a shift and the rebuilding is going to be serious from this point on.

I could be wrong, of course, but for right now I'm going to celebrate what I perceive to be very good news and not get caught up in arguing the semantics of the message.

I agree about not dumping on Nat. It wouldnt really matter who the coach is, not much would change with this team.

The only question I have, is what took so long? Isnt it OBVIOUS that Thompson is the teams best rebounder? He needs the work so he can learn to finish near the hoop, something he is TERRIBLE at. But no doubt he is the future, and when the team is on track to be as bad as any in the league, there is just simply no reason for him to not get the majority of the minutes at his position. The only thing that would make me even happier would be for us to be hearing the same thing for Hawes. Hawes starts and Miller off the bench. Then we would really be in full speed ahead rebuilding mode.

Thank God someone finally got a clue! Im finally excited again. Don't be surprised if i trade happens to come along in the next week to continue the streak of positive deciscions....Nice knowing you Salmons! :)

Not sure why people like to slam Salmons? He busts his butt, is the teams best individual defender, and is the teams 2nd best offensive threat. It isnt like he is on the way down, his best years are probably 1-2 years away.

I personally love his demeanor.... pretty laid back, doesnt trash talk, doesnt pout and get technicals (miller), the only thing he has ever really complained about is minutes, or touches. What the heck is wrong with that?

Who is a better 3 for this team? Dang sure aint Frisco. I like him off the bench. Only real traid that would be good would be Thomas and Miller, and Thomas strictly for cap reasons.

By the way (sorry Im all over the place) but I have great respect for Thomas, who has been screwed over by the Kings for the past 2 years. he is CLEARLY a better player than Moore. And he sits quietly and doesnt bi..., and his number is called out of nowwhere, and he comes in and plays great.

I hope he gets traded just so the man can get some PT, something he said he sorely misses.

I love John and what he brings, but I'd personally like to see him dealt moreso because he's our team's best trading chip which would yield the best return. I also don't think he's our long term answer at SF, I think Garcia and Donte are our answer there.

We need to address the PG position first and foremost.

I dont know that many people would be complaining if they were in Kennys spot. You know making multi millions of dollars to play basketball in practice. I'm sure he lives a stress free life actually. There is no pressure on him.

I would like to point out a little of the evolution of Thompson as starter. If you noticed, Thompson is not being used in the post, hasn't been for the last three or so games. The coach went to his strength - facing up his man - rather than his weakness - the post up. If they kept posting him up, he would look nearly as bad as Miki. Now it's a pretty easy call...

I'm still waiting for some trades. This is like an appetizer, but one of those appetizers you order as a "meal". But then sometimes you still want the main course and in this case that would mean "trade". Lol
