Whoa! There has been a sheriff's car outside on my corner with lights flashing for about 1/2 hour and a helicopter with search lights flying directly over my area. When I stepped out my front door, the deputy in the car asked me to, "please stay inside your residence" from their loud speaker. :eek:

That's nothing...if you live downtown. ;) All the crazies live here. (Don't say it!) For som reason, the corner I live on is a magnet for collisions....one came tight up in my planter once. Never a dull moment.

Funnel cakes aren't real funnel cakes anymore. Thanks to the Food Network, I learned that funnel cakes are now pre-made and shipped to carnivals/fairs and then thrown into the oil at the last minute. Just ain't the same.
 
^^I figured as much. Still, when I go to an amusement park or carnival on a hot day and I pass by the snack stand, it's hard to resist.

I think they still make them the right way at Knott's Berry Farm. That's where I used to get them when I was I kid. You can watch them being made.....I'm hungry now!

Just found out I'm going to the Chili Peppers concert on the 27th! YAY!!

Of course, I'll be escorting a couple of snotty teenagers, but still... yay!
 
I can't wait to get my hands on a funnel cake when I go to the State Fair next week. I hope they have blueberry as a topping. They always tasted just fine to me, but then again, I haven't had them anywhere else. I just know to not ever get the falafel there again. Should of realized beforehand that a fair isn't exactly the place to get a decent falafel.

you should be in for a good time, regardless of your company. i caught them in san antonio back in 02 after they released by the way. it was a killer show. it was at an outdoors ampitheatre and bout halfway through, it started raining on us. some people left but i stayed for the whole set. it was great. i would love to see them again.

I've been wanting to see them live since I was a kid. When they were still very unknown, my mom saw them at the Hollywood Palladium and to this day, tons of concerts later, she says it was easily one of the best live shows she's ever seen.
 
Our friend Rick Fox came in to where I work last night. He's exec producing a film and wanted to come in to check on some of the results so far. When we crossed paths, I did my best to convey a somewhat muted look of disgust (didn't want to go overboard on it).

I forgot to ask anyone if he'll be coming back in from time to time or not. I thought about keeping a Kings shirt or jersey in my truck to wear in case he comes back. But on second thought, that will probably only be a source of amusement to him.

Do it anyways!! That guy is third on my list (after kobe and horrory), remember when he got into that "thing" with Doug? It was the only time ever that I was like "hit the mother".

I had a dream the night before last that I got another tattoo, and now I really do want one. I don't know what, and where, but I've got a lot of time to think about it since I can't afford it until I get a higher-paying job. I know I want it to be a religious symbol (cross), but have no idea where it should go. I'm sure I'll get a lot of disapproval from my aquaintances, though. I'll never understand why some people frown so much upon tattoos. As long as it's something decent and classy looking, what's the big deal?

I'm done with them, though. I've reached my limit and won't be getting even one more. Ever.

I'm still tempted, but I think it's just boredom. I've run out of cute and dainty places to put them.
 
Prudes is right, and I'm pretty conservative myself! It's been thirteen years since I got one, and I've always wanted to get more, but could never decide until now what exactly I wanted. When it's something that's going to be on you permanently, you don't exactly take it lightly ;) . I think two will be enough for me since I don't like the look of too many tats.
