The Titan Experiment

It was about a minute long run for that unit. Two Bigs replaced two smalls. Then a minutes later two smalls replace two Bigs.

“I’m trying to get a lot of those guys developed in game-play minutes,” Joerger said. “It’s something that we’ll mess around with a little bit.”

“Well, I’m trying to get a lot of those guys developed in game-play minutes, and it can be a challenge,” Joerger said following practice Wednesday. “It’s something we’ll mess around with a little bit, and it definitely caught some people’s attention.”

The main reason I made this thread is that it definitely appears we will see this "4-7s" line up at least a few more times. Whether it is simply to give them minutes, or if it could somehow work in short stints is what intrigued me.

IF the young bigs of Bagley/Giles/Skal and WCS can become consistently good 3 point shooters (i.e. 35-40% 3 pt %) then the Kings could dominate the NBA!

Then the Kings have a chance to turn the NBA upside down. Instead of having the small guards and small forwards launching 3s, we could have 7 footers making them for us. The "New Splash Brothers 7.0".

We would still need stellar guard ball handling and shooting at the PG and SG positions, but this could revolutionize the game if we had 3 7-footers on the floor hitting 3 pointers like a guard!

3 7 footers at SF/PF/C launching 3's like Steph Curry, how could other teams compete?!?!

This may be Vlade's and Joeger's master plan of position-less basketball! It may be crazy enough to work if 3 of the bigs could develop their 3 point shot to be consistently in the 35-40% range! o_O
