Oh my dear God. You have made my day. Wow. Shaun should never play again.

Nothing kills a guys confidence like getting stuffed on a dunk like that. I'm impressed. Hope he stays healthy and active like that all year. You know Marion will be thinking about that every time he plays the Kings. And if he isn't and I'm any other Kings player I remind him. . . . several times. Nicely of course.

Ok, great block. But when you're Shawn Marion, an All-Star who jumps out of the gym and dunks the ball a couple hundred times every year, sincerely doubt its going to cause any crisis in confidence.

True, but it will be in the back of his mind. He may dunk a lot, but hes human and I'm quite sure he will remain such. I'm not sayin he won't try again cause that would be silly, he's a professional. But he might just think about it one too many times to the point where he gives up the ball when he could have taken it stong.

And incidently I was quite dissappointed when he made the All-Star team, didn't think he deserved it at all.

19.4pts 11.3rebs 2stl 1.5blk on 48% shooting and for the team with the best record in the league is a little hard to ignore.

If only others could do that on the Kings.....

Jamal Sampson might ;). Considering he's athletic, 6'11", a shot-blocker, and by that block on James Jones corner three on Sunday.

As far as the block effecting Marion's confidence or decision to do stuff - no way. The guy is very proven (to teams).

Allrightythen, you were disappointed Marion made the AS team? His numbers since his sophmore season (00-01) are excellent and worthy. Where I think he should of made the AS-team all or most of those seasons. I think he should until he starts to get to declining. The guy is pretty underrated/overlooked too, which is probably because he's been in Phoenix (maybe another thing or two), yet he's easily a top 8/10 player.

An aside, I see him having a big year (more than usual ;) ).

Lol.

[During the block]
Skinner to Marion : " Uhm, excuse me! What the **** do you think your doing Shawn ?"
Marion To Skinner: " My bad"

True, and its really not like he just started putting up good numbers, hes been good for most of his career, I just never really noticed him as an impact player. Statistically he matches up with the best at his position so I guess he deserves it as much as anyone in the end. Its hard to admit that about a guy who has a shot that looks like his though;) I'm probably just bias against him.

There was Dwight Clark and "The Pass". Now we have Brian Skinner and "The Block". Wow, that'l last me until he does it again in a league game.

That cool. Thanks. If you don't mind I would like to use it as my Avatar. I don't konw about all day but I just clocked about 15 minutes watching it over and over again ;)

I could watch this all day...

Dont worry about deleting the moderators will take care of that if they think that it shouldnt be there. Looks good enough for me to have its own thread :)

I've been trying to resize it to fit as an avatar. Just can't get the right quality when resizing. Have at it. If you get it to work lemme know...

Thanks. Will see what I can do.

gotta dig this up. skinner should get more minutes based on this one play. he should get about 15 a game i think.

Hmm. It think the way he played last season when Brad went down is reason enough. :)

And Skinner seemed to be the player who truly came into the pre-season ready to play. If I remember right, Skinner was the most promising thing we saw in the pre-season, I think that should have also warranted some playing time.

Why was this brought back to life again?

That block was eons ago. Skinner has most likely forgotten completely about it. As showtime as it was, it was ONE BLOCK.

Skinner isn't particularly good on offense and isn't good at all at passing. Those two things alone are going to limit his minutes. Since Adelman clearly prefers to shift SAR to the 5 when Miller takes a break, I don't think we're going to be seeing a lot of Brian. It's a shame but there's no way he'll get 15 minutes per game.

Wow. Just saw this and thought it said Skinner was on the trade block and we were close to getting Marion. I need to go to bed.
