I've been doing a lot of thinking about this, and just trying to apply logic to what the Kings might do, and why. If we don't draft a big man, and this is assuming we resign Dalembert, or if not, we sign another freeagent as his replacement, our center/PF rotation is just fine with Thompson, Dalembert, and Cousins getting the bulk of the minutes. Same could be said for our guard rotation with Evans, Thornton, and Beno. That rotation has only one weakness. High percentage 3 pt shooting. So there's a need there.
SF is the weakest position on the team. You have Cisco, whose not a starter on a playoff team, and two guys that are still operating on potential. I just don't see the Kings adding another rookie with potential into that mix. Not if they want to jump up in the rankings this next season. I think they go with a veteran player through freeagency. So for those reasons, I think the Kings go with Knight first, and Fredette second. I do think that if Kanter were to drop down to them, then they'd have to consider taking him, because of his high value.
