The LOLakers thread

Lakers are in the second apron so they literally can’t trade for Grant unless they decide to move one of AD or Lebron for him thanks to how their roster is set up and the fact Grant is making a crapton of money.

When watching different vids on youtube in almost every trade the Lakers make for a big name player they're working DLo into some sort of sign and trade. Not sure how realistic it is, but I'm sure he wouldn't turn down free money to make something work lol.

the Lakers learned absolutely nothing from the Russ Westbrook experience lol

They just have to hope that Bronny is still available at #17 and they'll be all good

On the one hand this is the one contract the Lakers have that can probably get them something good in return. On the other hand I don’t know if any other team thinks he’s any good anymore.

Not sure if it's been reported anywhere but it looks like the Lakers took Bronny James in the second round.

when you lose one of the best player dev coaches in the game because you really needed to hire Lebron’s podcast buddy as head coach.

Going to be washed up Klay Thompson incoming.

And Bronny James gets a 4 year 8 million dollar nepo contract... I guess if they're going to be stuck with him at least he's not costing much.

When you burn a draft pick on Bronny because his dad told you to and then his knees immediately give out

On one hand none of us would have ever heard of this guy if his dad wasn't his dad, on the other hand being known solely for "daddy got me the job" in what is allegedly one of the last meritocracies on earth is a pretty huge burden to bear.

From Davion Mitchell to Lu Dort... that's accurate, in a few months he might compare him with Giannis and then Wemby.

at least JJ has a somewhat realistic ceiling from Bronny; a quality role player.

He's not out here pumping him up to be the next great thing.

Lu Dort isn't the worst comparison in the world. Bronny is significantly smaller both in terms of height/wingspan/reach as well as weight, but being a defensive specialist is a reasonable outcome. And honestly it's probably the only way he gets any real minutes as a smaller guard who isn't a primary ballhandler or a knockdown shooter.
