If this deal is going down as reported, fair winds and following seas. And thank you for 518 games of service.

Peja got me into the Kings and pretty much the NBA :(

Pacers are close to me though, I can just follow both teams

Thank you for everything Peja! You made some difference here!
For me you'll always be King!

@Brewer
He was one of the main reasons why I supported Kings all this years...I can't believe he is gone...

I thoroughly enjoyed watching you play and rooting for you for the last 8 years. Best of luck in Indiana.

Thank you Peja. Again, someone else to get standing O's when you return home to ARCO.

Good luck as a Pacer. I'll be rooting you on when you aren't playing against us!

You beat me to the punch, Slim, so I'll just add my comments to yours:

Thank you, Peja! And Jason, Doug, Chris and Vlade!!

With the trade of Peja Stojakovic to the Indiana Pacers, the ride that officially started with Jason, Doug, Peja, Chris and Vlade has now officially ended.

Good lord, what a ride it was!

Sacramento Kings fans have truly been blessed. We got a team here in the first place, which a lot of people said would never happen. We went to the games and we supported our team even when they stunk up the court on a nightly basis. We suffered through years of living in the bottom of the NBA well, only peeking out for all-too-rare glimpses of sunlight.

Then it started. There was a strike, and a shortened season. When the Kings took the court after the strike was settled, something wonderful and amazing started happening. The Kings started winning!!!

The Kings finished that short season with a record of 27-23, and they went to the playoffs! Yes, the playoffs. The games played AFTER the regular season ended.

And the ride began in earnest...

Hedo Turkoglu came on board, as did Bobby Jackson and Doug Christie. And the ride started going faster...

It was a great time. I don't have to relive it for those of you who were around. It's burned forever into your memories.

There was even a cover on Sports Illustrated, and the Kings weren't being
posterized.

Then, the trade. Jason for Mike and things got even more interesting.

...

...

Now, that ride is over. Jason, Vlade, Doug and Chris are gone. Peja is now gone. It was a great ride but it is now a part of Kings history forever.

And this Kings fan is more grateful than she can ever express for the memories...and has already bought her ticket and has a seat on the next ride.

Good lord, I love this team!

Thank you again, Predrag Stojakovic. I proudly stand and give you one last ovation as a Sacramento King!!!

Very appropriate and very classy on your part Slim.

Thank you Pedja, and I hope you regain your touch - except when facing Kings of course.

Peja, may you have a career resurgence and enjoy the taste of the playoffs in the east!

Just don't come back and try to beat us up too badly.

Good luck!

YES.

Sends tingles down my spine. What a team. Probably one of the best teams to not win a championship. And definitely one of the most entertaining squads to watch in NBA history.

Thank you #16. I wish you nothing but the most success, unless we meet you in the finals:).

Thank you Peja. In all my years of watching the NBA and the Kings, watching you get on a roll was as good as it gets. Thank you for everything and good luck in Indiana.

Even tho he did want to leave us and made me sour against him. the good memories with the rest of the crew will last forever. So thank you to Peja and I wish the best (except when you play us ;)

Thank you Peja. You were my favorite King since you joined the team and you were awsome to watch sinking those long distance shots. I hope somehow you can improve in other facets under Bird. You are and will be loved here in Sac and from all Kings fans around the world. :(

I remember watching Peja as a rookie and going, um, all he can do is shoot. How's he ever going to pan out? Then he blossomed into one of the premiere players in the game. THAT was amazing. One of the greatest players with his level of athletic ability.

Thanks to Peja, for helping put the Sacramento Kings back on the map. And everything VF so elequently said. It will be wierd watching the Kings without you. The Pacers have long been my favorite team in the East, so I wish you well.

I'm sorry ... but, I've got to let this one sink-in.

I knew it was coming - all the writing was on the wall ... all the signs were there.

Peja would be traded ....

I know it's for the better - and we're all sick-n-tired of waiting for the ALL-STAR PEJA to appear.

.... but, Peja has been MY BOY since coming to the King's ... and I'm gonna miss him.

Good Luck Peja !!! ... in Pacer Country .... (isn't that where Miller wants to go ???)

Now my 3 favorite King's (that I have jerseys for) ... are all gone ... Vlade, C-Webb and Peja
:(

Dear Peja
Thanks for the memories and the overall effort and being a true King all these years. We would love to have you here for the rest of your career and cheer for every one of your 3's and fast breaks and all.

Thank you.

Two fans in Santa Cruz who remember the day you were drafted.
