Thank You Letter to Nicole Powell

Dear Nicole,

As I was looking up at the score board with Mrs. Purple Reign we noticed part way through the third quarter that you only had 2 points. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN!!! You found your KA-POWELL, and turned the game around.

Yeah, I understand it is a team thang and WE RUN THIS, and YADA, WHOOP DE WHOOP. But if it wasn't for you just absolutely exploding and scoring 12 STRAIGHT MONARCH POINTS from the middle of the third until the middle of the fourth, cutting a 9 point Los Angeles lead to a 4 point lead...
THERE WOULD BE NO WE RUN THIS.
WE WOULD BE RUNNING NOTHING
WE WOULD BE RUNNING HOME WATCHING THE FINALS!!!

We Monarch fans have been hard on you all season long about taking your shot, being aggressive. Well, all is forgiven in my book, Nicole.

Your team was absolutely dead in the water until Nicole Powell came through like you were capable. One of the weaknesses of the Monarchs is not having a go to player to score when they need one.

Nicole you were that girl last night. Now I can proudly say WE RUN THIS (like Missy Elliott).

Thank you Nicole, see you down at the Pond to wrap this bad boy up in a sweep.

I also agree. Nearly all season long this year, I thought someone else was impersonating the Nicole Powell that we all knew and loved in 2005! And then the REAL Nicole Powell showed up!

Nice letter, but we've been tough on Nicki P...because we know what she's capable of & last night was her...vintage Powelle. Like back in the Stanford days, bringing it, bustin out in full force. Keep it going Powelle...we will be in your corner , we beleive in you & your teammates. Thanks for an awesome game!

Last night was no suprise. Why??? Cause I called the Fed Ex guy myself and told him to bring the Round 2 Turkish Mojo.

I am not even gonna thank her for doing what she knows and we know she can do.
