Well todays forecast is for 112 so hit the press room at Cox Pavilion early. Today I'm going to modify my reporting a bit as I miss more action than I want typing every 15 seconds. So I'll break down floor action into 4-5 up-downs and try to get a bit more info on how the 3 known Kings are playing and highlight who else is showing well.

Double-K will also be here taking pics. I'll see if he and I can get some shots posted during the game.

Looking like Donte Greene will be my interview based on KingsFans feedback. And if everyone doesn't bail too quick after the game will try to get a minute or two with Coachie or Coach Elie.

Ailene Voisin confirmed (she is sitting 3 chairs over in the press room) that Sean May has agreed to sign with the Kings.

See ya in a bit.

Update-1

Coaching staff is reduced by two for the final game. Assistant coaches Mario Elie and Jim Eyen "have left the building".

Update-2
UuuuuuuuuuuWaaa! just walked in behind two showgirls..........uuuuuuuuu there's two more.

So Casspi a point/forward !? JT jiumping center court...JT controls, JT misses jumper but Casspi skys above everyone for the reb and half-spin put back. Brockman fouls at other end.

Evans brings up every time. Shot misses and Casspi out jumps every one for tip, miss but Brockman cleans up for two-handed put-back

Ball moving well but Kings spacing not great . Another reb and 3/4 court toss by Brockman to Evans for breakaway layup.

Jt shot, miss but Kings get 3 more tips in big crowd but no bucket. Knicks miss, fast break JT to Greene back to JT who gets hammered. Makes 1 of 2 FT.

Evans goes baseline, overhead hook pass to JT for easy layin. Greene steals pass full speed down court, drives to base, little hook pass to JT for another quick 2. K-13 NY-8

Evans takes inbounds couple of dribbles and Toney Douglas pokes away ball and makes a steal. Evans fouls >> clear path so 2 shots.

Same starters for Kings. Casspi is as much a scrapper as is Brockman. Very quick hands. Hustles for reb among 3 NY gets reb and fouled by 2 or 3 of them. makes both FT

Landry in for Casspi at 1:12 left in qtr. Brockman reb outlet to JT and feed to Greene for tomahawk jam!!!! Evans fouled next time down and makes 2/2 K-19 NY-13

NY drives into Brockman for blocking foul

Evans make shot at buzzer at end of 1st K-21 NY-16

Lots of good movement by Kings but spacing is poor. Numerous times two big guys bump into each other or are not in proper places for good spacing. First Qtr stats in couple of minutes.

start of 2nd: Landry, Evans, JT, Brockman, Greene

Greene skys for block but refs say goal tending but his hand hit ball before ball hit backboard.

NY break but Landry skys to block a layup, head near rim.

TO at 7:56 left in half. K-22 NY-18

McNeal in for Greene.

Knicks make 3 and driving layup. K-24 NY-23

JT and Brockman miss reb and NY scores on two trips down. Kings getting a little ragged.

Evans drives is hammered makes bucket and FT. 27-27 now

John Bryant in for first time in VSL!!!!

1st qtr stats of note

PTS: Brockman 2, Casspi 4, JT 7, Greene 2, Evans 6
Reb: Brockman 6, Casspi 3, JT 4 Kings 16 NY 8
Steals: Brockman and Greene 2 each
Shooting: Kings 32% and 7/8 FT
Shooting: Knicks 31% and 7/13 FT
pts in paint: Kings 12 NY 4
2nd chance pts: Kings 8 NY 0

McNeal dribbles in too deep bad pass, NY break for 2

TO at 2:27 in half (takes time to get/read/enter some stats) K-32 NY-35

OMG!! feed in deep to Bryant, gets doubled and hammered as he tries to make shot. Hits both FT.

Knicks guards hitting outside shots with little defense from McNeal and Matthews

Bryant makes 6 ft fade away jumper (well he did get 3-4 inches up!)

Uh Oh. Knicks fwd drives lane and Bryant watches him go by.

Fast break by McNeal who goes by Skits (Tskitishvili) but NY hustles back and makes a quick 2.

HALF Kings 40 NY-41

At half Kings out rebounding Knicks 27/20

Greene tries 3 is fouled: makes 1 of 3

next down Casspi jumper but fouled makes 1/2 but lane violation on NY, makes that one.

Watching greene for a bit now. lets Brockman reb right in front of him Kings ball down, Greene tries 3, misses. Evans steals on NY next down

Kings 60 NY-51 Kings have all starters in.

good perimeter D that time and NY pg throws out of bounds

Interesting tho Knicks are still with their original starters.

Brockman reb >> fast break, Toolson behind the back pass to Roberts for easy layin

TO at 2:53 left in game. Kings 76 NY-60

Scrubs doing ok as NY just trying to shoot everytime they touch ball.

Bryant back in. now all scrubs for Kings and 4/5 starters for Knicks

Roberts dribbles right, stops and pops from 17 for 2.

Bryant actually changed a drive/shot by Douglas, didn't have to move much tho.

Coachie holding court in Kings TO. Looks like Yoda in a swamp of monsters.

Battle makes stepback jumper!!!

whoooo, bryant makes reverse layin from feed from Stowes in for the first time in summer league.

Skits make spinning Vlade like layin, fouled makes. K-82 NY-67

One minute left

Roberts fouled on long range jumper. He looks pretty good, makes both

Friday night in vegas, Kings finish on an high note, time to hit the road. But before I sign off a few tidbits I'll publish here in next couple of days:

interview with Jason Thompson, really good insight to him and the team. (Donte got away before I could even get to the interview area. Was not too happy a camper and knew I wanted to interview. Have arranged with Kings media to arrange a phone interview later).

Interview, short as it was with Coachie

Interview, wonderful as it was with Kayte!!!! :D

Inputs from the Trainer, Pete Youngman, about his "other" duties.

Photos, tidbit about a really cute boy-girl situation on the Kings,

Followup interview with Casspi as to his summer doings.

So stay tuned, I should get these done early next week. And thanks to KingsFans.com and the Kings themselves for their help and encouragement in supporting this unique effort.

Someone should put all Cruz's stuff he covered on the main page, like links to everything or something, he deserves it I'd say.

Ahh, how could I forget this one? After Friday's game, saw Casspi and Kayte chatting it up alone! Both really cute, Kayte seemed just slight bit shy as did Omri. They were a very cute couple. Chat for 1-2 min then everyone left.

Stay tuned for more on this when team reassembles in late September
