I've been following the twitter feeds of Jason Thompson and Donte Greene and they've been saying they are all working out with Sammy and Hassan. I think its great that they've $all taken it upon theirselves to start working so early and it can only be a good thing.

It seems at the moment, we have a young, hungry team. Which is a good thing. They all seem to like one another. Another good thing. Chemistry is a different issue altoghether. As Petrie once said when asked about team chemistry. You know when you have it and when you don't. But there's no one in the league that knows how to aquire it. Simply put, its an accidental result of your efforts to put a team together. One that you hope for, but there are no guarantee's.

When you take the ingredients of a team, which are 14 or 15 players, mostly young and talented, with various degree's of ego, drop them into the pot and stir them up, your not sure what the final product is going to be, and how well they're all going to blend together. Its similar to taking a bunch of spices that you know well individually and seeing how well you can mix them together into something that tastes good. Like cooking, a lot of it depends on the chef's abiltiy to mix and match.

Right now I'm feeling very positive. But we'll see.. The stew may still be lacking a final ingrediant.. Hmmm! For some reason, I feel hungry..

I'm actually really glad to hear that Dalembert is involved there -- I have almost grown to assume chemsitry amongst our young guys -- they've had it from the beginning. But having the incoming vet coming in and getting involved wiht the kids so early is a real good sign.

You know what else I am happy about? That we can have a group of four semi-random Sacramento Kings -- 1 C, 2 PFs, 1 SF -- get together early to workout in preparation for the upcoming season...and that all four can be 6'11" or more :p

I've got a feeling that Whiteside is going to surprise us in a couple years.... Think of a "rich mans" Keon Clark.. His potential is off the chart.

I'd rather think of his potential as more along the lines of Marcus Camby, but I know what you mean. He has to up his basketball IQ. The two biggest holes in his game, are ballhandling and passing ability. He seldom attempted to pass the ball at Marshall, and when he did, bad things usually happened. But he's young, and if the Kings are patient with him, they could have something special in a couple of years.
