TDOS Draft to End All Drafts - Round 20

Cheese -- but when I found myself trying to Sophie's Choice my way through a brie vs. smoked gouda decision, I knew I just had to take all of it. I've never been a huge fan of Swiss cheeses, or any of the bleus (except gorganzola), but otherwise I've always been a huge cheese fan. A nice, sharp manchego dipped in honey? Or sliced pears with brie? It would take me a LONG time to get tired of that.
Great, great pick...I hadn't considered it, but now I wish I had. All of the cheeses you mentioned are great...I also love fontina. Goat cheese is good, too. One of the best pizzas I've ever had was a gorgonzola, fig, and prosciutto appetizer. It was awesome...the classic salty/sweet combo.

Are you serious? Wow, this was my next one. Great pick!

I love the Saw movies myself, even though they are going wayyyyy too far with the story
Yeah, i love the saw movies too. 1 was great, 2 was great, 3 was eh, 4 was good, and 5 was down right horrible in my mind. Hopefully 6 is better but I have my doubts.

Yeah I have to agree with all of that. 6 was supposed to be the last one, but apparently they may be doing 9 now . Even though, 4 was the 3rd best movie, they should've stopped at 3

KingsFaithful made his pick at 11:20 last night. On an 18-hour clock, that means your time expired at 5:20 this afternoon... If he didn't send you a PM, that's on him. Basically, though, since SLAB hasn't made his pick yet, you haven't lost anything...

:)

After spending some time with my grandparents recently I added this one to my list. With my 14th pick, I select:

Storytelling

I'm a sucker for a good story, be it written, filmed, or first person. Life stories, conversations, funny experiences, triumphs, and tragedy. You can learn a lot about someone from the stories that they enjoy, and the stories that they tell :).

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Okay I am now going to make one of the most honest, unconcerned with votes picks that anybody has made in any of these drafts with a product which only a tiny percentage of the board may ever have heard of:

Wawa Iced Tea

Wawa is a chain of convenience stores in the Northeast (think AM/PM). They have a house brand of Iced Tea that is legendary. You may think I am kidding -- I am not. Its a frickin' national treasure and makes you just proud to be an American. I think they must put crack in it or something because to know it is to love it forever -- its that addictive. If you find a discussion of the best iced teas in the country/world/whatever on some messageboard, I'll bet you somebody on there is advocating this stuff. I lived off of it in law school, and if I'm walking by a Wawa there is roughly a 100% chance I am stopping in for a refill.

I am not remotely the only one. You look for images of the stuff and its full of people doing what you do when you encounter it:

I've got the go-ahead to make my pick, so it's time to draft my dream job:

NBA Player (Occupation)

Growing up, all I did was play basketball. After high school, I haven't been able to play as much, but I still play occasionally. Anyway, needless to say this is and always was my dream job

So, when are you going to send me a jug?

My next selection is Karaoke.

Something I don't get to do much of anymore but in my 20s enabled me to live out my rock star fantasies. I was kind of a legend in Santa Barbara at one point and for a few years when I was working on the road it was a great way to get out and scare the locals. I even met my wife through karaoke.

This selection also includes the uber hip live band karaoke and the ability to always be next up :)

I truly believe this is one of the few choices that could easily be on both this list - for the participants - and the Pain and Misery list for those sitting in a restaurant attached to a bar where karaoke is going on.

;)

Good karaoke is acceptable, but I actually really dislike hearing my favorite songs sung, good singer or not. It'll never sound like the real thing. But hey, I'm an AC/DC fan. Pretty hard to find someone to sing karaoke who sounds like Brian Johnson :p

Karaoke would have actually been a good pick for me as it goes well with my bar.

I'm a bit of a karaoke masochist, for the record. I seldom participate (let's just say the few times I have actually "performed" I had to be told about it the next day), but I love to watch. And the worse/more embarrassing, the better.

Love the karaoke pick...it was on my list. But I used to do it strictly for comedic purposes...:D

Next up:

HAPPY HOUR!

The name alone is worth the pick! I love great bar/restaurant happy hours, but I also like happy hour at home with friends or family. Pre-dinner cocktails or beers with friends, especially when they're cheaper, can take any old weekday evening and make it fun.

I have never found a seafood dish cooked or uncooked that I can stomach which has been horribly difficult because I grew up in a family of restaurateurs and on virtually every family trip I have found myself in a restaurant with no steak or chicken on the menu. When I can't find lamb or duck I know I'm really in trouble.
