Survivor - Exile Island

I'll have to agree with you VF. It's probably a good thing the guys I work with were too busy to watch with me. I'm sure there would have been plenty of comments.

I was waiting until Celt had a chance to see it before saying anything, but I'm a little disappointed with the "high contact" nature of the challenge. There's nothing really challenging about it, unless you want to consider the challenge faced by the cameramen in making sure they didn't get way TOO much of one of the survivors.

;)

Outplay, outwit, outlast - it doesn't say anything about outwrestle... and some of those camera shots were just wrong. Wrong, I tell you ... W-R-O-N-G.

:D

LOL some of those shots were oh so RIGHT! OK guess they have to compeet with girls gon wild or something... Athough they kept the match ups even in terms of men and women these brute force, and mass challenges are really not very good tests of athletcisim or brains.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, WAIT!

This show has girls wrestling with questionable camera angles??

Why haven't I been watching it? The only episodes I ever sat through had people eatin' bugs.

The really questionable camera angles involved the old wrinkled guy and the young goofy guy and some rather "inappropriate grasping" if you catch my drift. Well that, and the fat lady's protruberances protruded again.

It was just ... icky.

Oh.

Okay.

Yeah... it was much better in my mind.

Yah I agree with VF. Too high contact for my taste. But I LOVE that little yoga move that Aras did. Nice trick.

Shane I think is jumping the couch... or on the verge.

I didn't expect Misty to go at all.

Shane is just a freak and I am surprised he is still there. I give him until the merge but expect he will be booted within a week or 2 after the merge.

Still holding out hope my pre-survivor prediction of Courtney will win but honestly feel she has no chance unless something changes.

I have this feeling that there's more to Exile Island than just an immunity idol. I would like to see them have something really special hidden, like keys to a luxury car or something...

I cannot stand Cirie. She is the antithesis of everything about Survivor, IMHO. She irritates me ALMOST as much as Jonny Fairplay, and that's saying something.

Shane is way out there. I think if he ever goes to Exile Island, they might be well advised just to leave him there.

No real favorite to win it all quite yet. Still some pretty interesting dynamics developing.

I'm with you there...she's talking trash and scared of looking under leaves...

Yeah, what's with that "Oh, I'm afraid of leaves"???????

I'd be so putting leaves in her bed at night.

it's been hard for me to watch this season, becuase of work, BUT i finally got my taping situation in order, and i did get to see last night's episode.

i was disappointed casaya lost immunity. i just LOVE that tribe. i wish they would have booted danielle, she is by far the most boring. i love all the crazy people. shane is crazy, i LOVE cirie, bruce getting all hissy at courtney, who is also crazy. aras is freaking HOT!!!!!!!!

come to think of it, this season the men are almost at hot at they were on pearl islands. aras, nick, austin YUM YUM. thye might even have one up on the trio of burton, shawn and rhyno from pearl islands ;)

cirie is HILARIOUS. i just love her comments on the side. it's been a 180 for her, she was next in line, and she just waited for everyone to get sick of eachother and start going crazy. i hope she sticks around a long time.

i hate terry! he's so arrogant, and annoying! and crapoloa he has the idol. i hope he's gone, but knowing my luck he'll win. i hope not!!!

just keep the hotties around until the jury part. it sucks when they get voted off, but they sure are fine to see on the other side.

i'm rooting for cirie to win, either her or any of the hotties. that would be nice, but the person i want to win rarely does, so we'll have to wait and see i guess.

oh, and get rid of that creepy dan guy, he freaks me out! he's so white, it's ridiculous! is this is first time outdoors or something??? that isn't right to be THAT white.

so far I am watching just not drawn into it yet. They said something crazy would happen this week at Tribal so lets see. Still a good survivor gotta see how it plays out.

Maybe they'll go nuts and toss Shane off a cliff or something...

Why is it the survivors seem to always put up with the lunatic for soooo long? I would have voted his posterior off the first chance I got.

;)

yah, the promo said something will happen that has never happened before at tribal council. hmmm

they've already voted people back in, they've done the rock thing. i can't think of anything wierd they haven't done before. i can't wait to find out :D

Maybe its some fight between the survivors. Shane goes all nutty and walks off.

I will say this about this years survivor. They are very combative during TC and I love it.

Well, I'm not sure what they're talking about that was supposed to be so shocking unless it was that Dan knew ahead of time he was going to be voted off...

I do NOT like Shane. I cannot imagine why on nearly every show there is someone who is offensive, rude, boorish, controlling, etc. who gets past the first couple of weeks. His alliance would have been well served to kick his sorry, nicotine-reeking arse off when they had the chance.

I did notice the previews show someone with a medical crisis of some kind. I immediately thought of Michael putting his hands down into the fire. I still shudder to think about it...

I don't like that they're going to show what amounts to "blooper" and filler episodes for the next couple of weeks.

3 weeks until the next episode!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait that long!!!!!!!! i LOVE this season, it's easily the best since pearl islands.

shane smoking pissed me off!!! come on man, you're supposed to be detoxing!!!!!!!! i like crazy detoxing shane, he's so fun to watch!

i unfortunatly missed the first half or so since my aunt started the tape late, but i did see the booring challenge. it was nice seeing shane ram into terry, that *** terry needs that kind of stuff.

i really hope the next time a vote is held ( it doesn't sound like it will be the next episode, since it looks like someone leaves due to a medical emergency. judging by the legs of the person, skinny legs, it looks like it's one of the 3 younger girls. none of the men have chicken legs like that, and cirie certianly doesn't have legs like that) well anyways, i hope the people have the brians to vote out terry. sure he has the idol, but ****, burn that baby OUT! get rid of it! he's an obvious target, and he's not the sharpest tool in the shed strategy wise ( voting out misty over ruth marie or dan?? are you CRAZY?!?!?!) burn that idol and get him the **** out of there. he thinks he's tom westman from palau. i can't stand his pampous *** be gone with yee!

3 weeks. 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! next week is the recap episode, it's been a while since they've had one of thsoe, i need to catch up on a few episdoes i missed due to bad taping schedules. then a week of nothing due to the *BARF* NCAA tourny... SNORE. give me survivor!!!!!!

i'm rooting for aras to win. it will be a male this time i predict, and i hope to hell it's not that *** terry! i might vomit if he wins ;)

I liked tonights episode. It was so not survivor in that Dan knew, he didn't get back stabbed, didn't back stab anyone and they were honest. Of course honesty in this game won't win 1mil but it was cool to see.

Shane so has to go, that guy's act is getting old.

FINALLY!!!!

A new episode tongiht.

The teaser says, "The tribes merge and some castaways try to convince new tribemates to join their alliance."

I can't imagine how the rest of the survivors are going to put up with Shane's lunacy. I'm thinking they won't wait to vote him off; they'll just take him out and tie him to a tree and leave him.

;)

Geez. I have to just stare at the screen at least one each season when people HAD a chance to vote off the most annoying person in the whole group and they pass it up because he used to wear the same tribal buff.

I think having a three-week break this season really hurt the show. I don't know about anyone else but all of a sudden I was much less interested in what was going on. I'll admit the part where Bruce got hit in the face with the machete was interesting, but other than that I was actually rooting for Mother Nature.

;)

I think it's advantageous for Shane's group, no matter how dysfunctional, to stick together. They all know they are beatable players in challenges, so each one has an equally good shot once they pick off the other tribe.

I predict the "secret" immunity idol is going to have a major impact on the game. I'm curious, though. Let's say Terry used it tonight - giving it to Nick to keep him safe. Would they then have eliminated Shane, who had no immunity and therefore received the most "eligible" votes?

If that's possible, that kind of strategy could be huge...

ah man, HOTTIE patottie nick is gone :( and it looks like his cutie tribemate austin is going next week

terry is such a freaking IDIOT. they need to get rid of his *** next week. he should have give immunity to nick, thus makving it appear that he'd ripe to be voted off. casaya would have voted for him and shane would have been gone. but he's a ****** idiot, let his ego get in the way and now his alliance is crumbling. i have no idea why i just wrote out a way terry could have saved his little alliance, i guess just to point out what a MORON he is.

and austin, austin austin, i know you are smarter then you appered at tribal council. maybe you had other motives, but to give away your strategy that was STOOOPID. if you wanted to be portrayed as weak, don't be hanging around until the final 3, after the entire casaya tribe had dropped out, and then keep on hanging on for dear life. drop out after cirie! and even worse, don't be bragging about your lame strategy at tribal council! the only reason i can see trying to attract attention to yourself is to try to split votes. opps! now you've just sealed your fate unless you win immunity next week.

aras is still incredible hot. i will miss staring at nick. OH MAN, he's probably the hottest survivor ever. too bad he was about as intresting as darrah, or watching paint dry. i'll just stare thanks :D

cheers to hopefully getting terry to waste the idol next week, cheers to keeping shane around, i can't wait to hear his jury speech :D

and cheers to survivor FINALLY being back on. i was going CRAZY without it!!!!!!!!! i taped this episode just because :D

Yup, and thats what I didn't get about the entire thing. I thought by not using it to save Nick was a very poor strategy. He was probably thinking about using it later in the game. Unless he wins immunity next week and everyweek he is the next one. So he will get 1 free week after he uses it and then he is gone.

One other note... It was obvious they got Bruce to turn so that made the numbers 4/6, save Nicks butt so Evenstar can look at him some more and then Shane gets booted off as he had the next highest votes. Then they would be looking at 4/5 and a lot easier to swing one more person. Instead its 3/6 game over.

Oh and I have another intersting thought. What if Terry GAVE the immunity Idol to Bruce in exchange for his vote?

thats right :D

I can't remember a group with such a little command of the concept of "strategy" as this group of people.

They're at tribal council right now, and a couple of them are just totally and completely and utterly clueless.

I have to disagree with Evenstar. I like the way Terry has played the game. Of course, I've always had a thing for fighter pilots.

;)

terry AGAIN blows a chance to break up the casaya alliance, and this time, if he had given the idol to austin, the glue that holds casaya together would have been gone and ANYTHING could have happened. instead terry is only thinking about himself, but in the process he's probably losing respect of the casayas. next week apparently he starts getting arrogant and cocky about winning immunity. this guy wishes he was tom westman from palau. the only thing those 2 have in common is their name's start with the letter "T" i can't imagine how crazy it would have gotten had he given the idol to austin causing aras to be voted out. luckily terry is a moron so my man survived.

he keeps talking about how much power he has with that idol, and he NEVER uses it. instead he keeps on trying to "offer" people lame duck positions in "his final 5" cirie said it best last episode when she said it was laughable that he was trying to offer people things, that he wasn't in any position to offer anybody anything. why the heck would someone flip from the side they are on to his when he's basically promising the same thing, flip and be at the bottom of my alliance instead of the bottom of your alliance.

i am sad to see austin go. he was the brains at la mina, he was pretty hot, and had some great confessionals.

i'm thinking more of the same next week, more idol drama, broken promises and sally going home. if terry wins immunity again and gives the idol to sally, then maybe i won't call him such a moron. however i don't think he's smart enough to think of anyone but himself, so i doubt that happens. he might be out lasting, but he's not outplaying or outwitting my any stretch of the imagination. he's colby, he's only going somewhere because he has his ****** " ace in the hole" and that hideous necklace around his neck. it certianly isn't strategy that is getting him anywhere. and hopefully he'll have the same fate as colby. 2nd place. ARASOWNAGE BABY!

erm, Evenstar? Don't hold back. If you have something you don't like about Terry, spit it out...

You do realize you're ranting and frothing at the mouth, right?

;)

I'd rather see Terry there than Shane. HE makes my skin crawl.

i'm not frothing, i might have been when i was watching, but i'm not anymore ;) i have no clue why, but i'm back on my survivor obsession really bad. i haven't been this excited for survivor since way back to pearl islands. don't worry, i'll be fine :D i'll try to calm down ;)

it's just how i feel about terry. i'm just not understanding what his goals are. if he wanted to break that casaya alliance up,i think he could have. his weak attempts to flop someone are pathetic, he should use that idol. not to bribe someone, i mean USE it. pass it along, or threaten someone with it. seriously, anything better then his used car salemen pitches that he;s been going with

i actually like shane, i think he's awesome. annoying at times, but his detox is hilarious. the only time i've hated him was when he smoked. that made my skin crawl. other then that i like him. he's entertaining and has a good game plan, and is sticking to it. i can't fault him for that.
