Mavs win, and made the plays down the stretch the keep the Suns from stealing another game. Suns had their chances to hit a couple of wide open threes to get back in the game in the last minute, but Tim Thomas couldn't knock them down.
Suns missed a golden opportunity to take this game, imho. Got solid, but not great, performances from Marion, Nash and Tim Thomas (although Thomas grabbed all of one rebound in 40 minutes of action), and Diaw had another very good performance. Unfortunately, apparently Barbosa was on the take --- he hit only 3 of his 15 shots, two of which were three pointers, and missed a number of point black layups. Additionally, he shot a number of ill-advised jumpers that were not within the flow of the offense. If he plays to his abilities and within the flow of the offense, I think the Suns would have won this game (with a little help from terrible performances from Van Horn and Stackhouse, and three quarters of bad play from Jason Terry).
I'll be interested to see if the Suns can protect their homecourt in Game 3, and whether or not Raja Bell will be able to play any minutes.
