both teams are getting killed at "home"

our "garbage crew" couldn't even compeate in NBDL.
 
I have a hard time getting too upset by preseason games. Down by 11. That is really not that bad. We're going to be ok.
 
Nice to see that Garcia has Iverson's approach to the game of Basketball:mad:

I hope he knows how to wave towel. If not - I hope that he is a quick learner because he will need it.
 
I am a bit tired of watching Garcia shoot and miss. He is beginning to look as if he thinks he is Peja Stojakovic. Sorry, kid, but Peja you ain't. Try passing the ball more...especially when your shot is not falling.

This is a great lineup if You are lakers;)

I wonder if Garcia understands that Adelman will not play trigger happy rookies. I mean he doesn't play rooks much as it is, a trigger happy one who takes early shots is a no-brainer.

Well, he must not know, because he is more trigger happy than any rookie I have seen in awhile. And, now he just picked up his 5th foul. Sorry, Garcia fans, but your boy won't get all that much play time this year. You gotta earn your stripes, kid.
 
Even tho Garcia shoots alot, I love the kid. He does everything else, rebounds, plays d, just plain hustles. I can't wait to see more of him.
 
you guys are taking this game to serious lol, its just preaseason. RA put a bunch of guys that havnt even played together and you expect them to play like starters. C'mon now please its getting really sad. As for Garcia, let him take all the shots he wants, its better now then reg season and its good that we have a player that actually wants to take the shots plus he is capable of making them so dont cry.
 
I like Garcia too, but, regardless of what Grant says, you don't keep shooting when your shot's not falling. You pass the ball to someone who's having a better night than you. It did get a bit tiresome.


Skinner was great tonight.

I like the guy, but if keeps shooting like this in the preseason he is going to shoot himself out of minutes in the regular season.

How is he ever gonna learn to shoot over the defender or wide open in a game if you dont let the guy take the shots. Dont forget, its Preaseason so give the guy a chance. If Bibby takes that many shots and misses its ok, if peja takes that many shots and misses its also ok but for a rookie you guys complain. Big deal.

Bibby and Peja are not held to the same standard as Garcia because they have already proven what they can do. They have been 18-20 point scorers in the NBA for several years. The problem isn't just with shooting, its shooting early and often, let the play develop and get a good shot.

I like Garcia, I think he brings a lot of things, but Adelman will not play someone who is going to monopolize the offense, much less a rookie who does it.

I don't mind, but some might find it extreme to compare Bibby/Peja to Garcia. This offense is made for Bibby and Peja specifically, its ok if they shoot.

Because he is a rookie and some things need to be earned

Because our coach is very, very famous for "not doing rookies" in the first place

Because those shots a rushed, quick, ill-adviced.

Because - there is only one AI
 
Of course its preseason. Now is the time for Garcia to learn. I'm not complaining, I'm commenting. I like the kid and think he shows great promise. But he's got a lot to learn. On the other hand, I thought Martin played a pretty nice game tonight. Seemed a little more contained and in the flow. Some nice rebounding.

Neither Martin nor Garcia shot the ball that well, tho.

It was nice to see more of Flores. He was pretty good, made some nice plays. Price seems to be getting more comfortable.

They have said that in the last two games, RA will likely come closer to playing the rotation he expects to play in the season. I'm really interested to see what that looks like.

Well, speaking only for myself, it has to do with a couple of things. As you said, he is a rookies. IMHO a rookie should show respect to veterans. Taking over the game yourself, and not passing off to anyone show a "me 1st attitude". Not going to ingratiate you to vets.

2nd...this is a passing team. The Kings play as a team. If he keeps playing one on one ball, thinking only of himself and his own #'s, then he is not a TEAM player and does not fit on the Kings.

True, some would say he will see time behind Peja in some instances. I would like to see him develop into something nice there, but I always saw him as an OG who can slide to the PG in emergency situations, but at SF maybe he will provide us with some of that ever elusive "versatility."

We have the starting 5 and then Skinner, Thomas, Hart that will see minutes regularly.

Williamson, Martin, Garcia will have to share Pedja's resting minutes eventhough there is a possibility of Bibby, Hart and Wells being on the floor at the same time. So unless an injury happenes Garcia will watch a lot of games and he will inherit Kevins DNP - CD trade mark from last season
